Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

The Rapid Systems Architecture Group is looking for a Systems Design Engineer to define the architecture of current and next generation reticle inspection platforms.

In this role, you will drive the sensitivity and throughput roadmap as well as developing concepts of key components in the system.

Specific job responsibilities include:

1. Drive high level concept for key subsystems in the reticle inspection system to support both sensitivity and throughput roadmap.

2. Drive the top level requirements for key subsystems such as Sensor, Optics and Auto Focus.

3. Collaborate with Optics, Systems, Opto-Mech, Algorithm, Software, and Marketing Teams to drive successful development and implementation of the key subsystem.

  • Demonstrated strong technical fundamentals in Systems, Optics and Auto Focus

  • Experience in deriving system requirements and system error budget

  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills in developing complex systems

  • Great collaboration and communication skills

  • Past experience of product development especially in inspection systems

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years

Base Pay Range: $154,900.00 - $263,300.00 Annually

Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA
