The role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer with a focus on Corporate Identity and Access management to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing IAM controls and services, building services with a strong focus on Azure AD. This role will also involve building and maintaining automation tools to streamline processes for other teams and customers across the organization. In addition you will take on broader systems engineering responsibilities to support and mature the overall infrastructure environment.

Your responsibilities will include:
IAM Development and Management:
- Design, implement, and maintain IAM systems with a focus on Azure AD.
- Develop and enforce IAM policies, procedures, and best practices to secure and manage identities and access controls.
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate IAM solutions with applications, services, and infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements by regularly reviewing and updating controls.
- Monitor and troubleshoot IAM issues, ensuring high availability and performance of identity services.
Automation and Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and processes across the organization.
- Build and maintain scripts and automation tools to support infrastructure task and operations. (Powershell, Python, GraphAPI: App Access, Managed Identity)
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and develop automation solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual workloads as part of our AaaS (Automation as a Service) initiative
Systems Engineering:
- Participate in the design, deployment, and management of infrastructure services, including cloud and on-premise environments.
- Support the maintenance, optimization and migration of network, server, and storage systems to ensure seamless integration with controls.
- Collaborate with the infrastructure team to design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient systems.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or equivalent.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain security best practices within the IAM framework and broader infrastructure environment.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits of infrastructure systems.
- Manage vulnerability assessment processes and ensure timely patching of identified security vulnerabilities.
Collaboration and Support:
- Provide expert guidance and support to other teams on issues and best practices.
- Assist in the onboarding of new employees by configuring access rights and permissions according to organizational policies.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand and meet their needs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
We expect you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in System Engineer roles, with a strong focus on IAM.
- Proven experience with scripting and automation tools
- Great understanding of networking, server, storage and infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience managing cloud services within Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of security principles, including identity management, authentication, and authorization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
It will be an added bonus if you have:
- Experience with multi-factor authentication (MFA), single sign-on (SSO), SCIM, SAML other advanced technologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Microsoft Azure certifications.
