What we need
Symbotic is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Project Planner to join our team. This role is a key driver in ensuring the timely availability of materials needed for our ongoing projects, while also transforming our project reporting standards. The ideal candidate will work closely with procurement, project managers, and other stakeholders to streamline material planning and enhance operational efficiency.
What we do
Our global sourcing, procurement and third-party supplier team develop innovative category management strategies in collaboration with the business. The team focuses on strategic third-party partner agreements and help support supplier relationship management, commercial and financial pricing models for overall supplier performance.
What you’ll do

Develop and maintain project material plans; driving our Supplier Follow Up team to ensure materials are available at project sites for installation.

Serve as single point of contact for project material escalations; coordinate involved parties to deliver to site needs.

Manage project through key planning milestones: Ensuring all items required for project are ordered and deliveries on track to progress on key Symbotic timelines.

Maintain Project Tracking tools, ensuring validity of data and driving improved reporting on project performance through use of Excel.

Support new projects by creating material allocation reports to ensure all materials are on order.

Effectively summarize project performance and anticipated shortfalls to Executive level stakeholders; must have a demonstrated ability to tailor communication to specific stakeholder needs.

Drive project progress through developing improved KPIs and project performance signals to catch shortfalls prior to site impact.
What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in project planning; material planning experience is critical

Experience in supply chain project management or process improvement initiatives.

Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CPIM) is a plus.

Advanced Excel experience is a must - (Pivot tables/charts, LOOKUP, Macros & VBA)

Must have demonstrated comfort providing information and updates to Director/VP level stakeholders.

Strong understanding of material planning principles and inventory management.

Strong knowledge of supply chain processes.

Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.

Ability to develop and implement efficient processes.

Proficiency in SAP and other supply chain management tools.

Attention to detail and a proactive approach to planning.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Our Environment

Up to 10% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.

The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
