The People Science & Analytics team at Roblox supports our People, Places, & Systems organization in leveraging data-driven insights to enhance employee performance, development, and engagement. Our team applies industrial-organizational psychology principles to optimize performance management, improve managerial effectiveness, and develop tools that enable employees to succeed.
You Are:
- Pursuing a PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Educational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, or a related field.
- Passionate about workplace performance and employee development, with an interest in how organizations optimize feedback, coaching, and growth opportunities.
- Skilled in research design and data analysis, with experience applying statistical techniques to organizational data.
- Excited to translate research into practice, developing insights and tools that improve performance management in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working with HR technology and analytics, leveraging data to guide organizational strategy and process improvements.
You Will:
- Partner with teams within the People, Places, and Systems organization to identify key trends, challenges, and opportunities related to performance management and employee development.
- Conduct data analysis and research to assess performance trends, feedback practices, and employee engagement in performance management processes.
- Contribute to the enhancement of performance evaluation systems, including efforts to streamline processes and explore continuous performance management approaches.
- Support the development of tools and frameworks that enhance manager-employee feedback, coaching, and supervision effectiveness.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to refine organizational processes that drive performance, feedback culture, and leadership growth.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual hourly rate could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Please note that not all benefits shown below are applicable to internship opportunities.

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
