The People Science & Analytics team at Roblox supports our People, Places, & Systems group in all areas of applied statistics, data science for internal operations. Our team works to deliver a wide range of insights and solutions for Roblox, from developing industry-leading hiring assessments, to conducting job analysis and qualitative research, to architecting data analytics systems and tools. In this role you will join a world-class group of learning and data scientists who are focused on collecting and using qualitative and quantitative data to drive decisions and to design and support Roblox’s approach to leadership, people development, and organizational design and culture.
The People Analytics, Data Science Intern position is a part of our Roblox 12-week summer internship program located in San Mateo, CA. You will work alongside the People Science and Analytics team to apply advanced data science techniques to analyze large datasets and generate actionable insights that drive strategic decisions across talent management and organizational development.
You Are:
- Pursuing a Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
- Eager to use data science to advise decisions and shape organizational strategy.
- Experienced in applying advanced analytics and predictive modeling techniques to tackle real-world problems.
- Proficient in SQL, Python, and statistical analysis tools, with the ability to transform large datasets into actionable insights.
- Passionate about People Analytics to drive impactful outcomes within HR and organizational design.
You Will:
- Work alongside a dedicated group of data scientists to develop models, pipelines, and analytical insights that improve decision-making across talent strategies and workforce optimization.
- Use both qualitative and quantitative data to support initiatives across People Analytics domains such as recruiting, performance, engagement, and organizational development.
- Analyze large datasets to distill insights and connect different ideas into a meaningful story to lead strategy and impact business operations.
- Partner with teams within the People organization and present actionable insights to executives, identifying key metrics, trends, and analytical needs to drive decision-making.
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual hourly rate could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Please note that not all benefits shown below are applicable to internship opportunities.

$50—$50 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
