About the Role

We are looking to hire a Strategy & Operations Manager of Payments to lead the development and growth of Nascent Payments Business at GlossGenius (think instant payouts, loans, BNPL, invoicing, among others). Payments is one of the largest revenue drivers of GlossGenius’s business and we are constantly looking for new ways to expand our Payments business. In this role, you will report directly to the GM of Payments and be responsible for growing the business for our existing Nascent Payments Business and developing net new Payment products. You will collaborate cross-functionally, working hand-in-hand with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Analytics, Customer Experience, and Sales to drive the roadmap for the Nascent Payments Business and achieve aggressive goals. You will manage the growth of GlossGenius’s Nascent Payments Business throughout signup, onboarding, engagement, support, and more. Finally, you will be a critical component to establishing GlossGenius as the preferred payment solution across the beauty and wellness industries. 

What You’ll Do

  • Directly responsible for leading the strategy, development, execution, and growth of the Nascent Payments Business and achieving associated goals
  • Leading cross-functional collaboration, alignment, and coordination for the execution and success of payments initiatives
  • Play a critical role in identifying, defining, incubating, and leading new payment products, features, and marketing campaigns to prove market fit and accelerate growth
  • Contribute to the roadmap of the Nascent Payments Business via quantitative analysis and qualitative customer feedback
  • Analyze complex data sets to provide insights, impact sizings, and recommendations for all strategic and tactical decision making
  • Execute operational, marketing, and product Payments tests and experiments

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in operations, strategy, data analytics, or strategic finance 
  • Strong analytics experience in SQL, building financial models, goal setting, and performance monitoring
  • Bias for A/B testing whenever possible and you can quickly design and execute experiments
  • Proven track record of leading projects, achieving goals, and thriving in a cross-functional team environment
  • You bring structure and organization to cross-functional execution to drive efficient output
  • Resourceful, investigative, and collaborative in ambiguous environments to independently uncover answers to vague and difficult problems with minimal oversight 
  • Accountability is in your DNA and you exhibit ownership across every initiative 
  • Customer obsessed with the desire to integrate customer feedback into all decisions
  • Strike the right balance between attention to detail and bias for action
  • Excellent communicator with the intuition to effectively communicate at the right level of detail based on the audience

The starting base salary for this role in New York and San Francisco  is between $145,000-$180,000 + target equity + benefits. The base salary offered is dependent upon many factors including skills, experience, location, and education. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.  Additionally, this role is currently eligible to participate in GlossGenius’s equity plan as well as a range of health & wellbeing, retirement savings, and other benefits within our total rewards offering.
