Opportunity Overview:

Cohere Health is looking for a Strategic Finance Partner in support of its continued growth and margin expansion. This role will be an embedded finance member to a number of operating groups & business unit leaders and will serve as their primary financial contact point. This person will play a critical role in improving the organization’s profitability & scalability, with a specific focus on improving contribution margins across all service lines.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop strong and sustainable business relationships with Cohere’s operations, portfolio, clinical, CX teams to gain a deep understanding of the team’s goals & work processes.
  • Ideate, initiate, track, and monitor progress against operational initiatives, milestones, and ongoing work plans associated with improving contribution margin & unit economic targets
  • Lead the financial budgeting, forecasting & operational reporting for all groups in their areas of responsibility.
  • Bring a challenger leadership mentality to current processes to find constructive solutions to optimize efficiencies & cost structures.
  • Ensure each organization is tracking within their expense & headcount budgets.
  • Lead business case initiatives & sign of any financials & metrics that are being brought to leadership for investment consideration
  • Support the Corporate Finance team with strategic projects as required and serve as the resident financial expert in their domain areas.  
  • Lead 1-2 India based financial analyst(s) to drive speed of deliverables

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • History of leveraging systems, processes, & AI to increase speed to delivery
  • Comfort questioning the status quo and providing a challenger leadership style
  • 10+ years of experience working in a financial capacity preferably having been on teams driving profitability enhancement initiatives
  • 5+ years working with senior & C-level leadership
  • Passion for building relationships with key stakeholders and prioritizing their needs
  • Excellent project management and communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
  • Operationally minded financial leader with the ability to effectively problem solve in partnership various stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively work cross-functionally, including with clinical & technical teams
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of time

The salary range for this position is $134,000 to $175,000 annually; as part of a total benefits package which includes health insurance, 401k and bonus. In accordance with state applicable laws, Cohere is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and internal alignment.
