About the Role

This role is part of WeaveGrid's Utility Solutions team whose mission is to delight utility clients by delivering exceptional results for their EV programs and supporting the growth of our utility business. In this role, you will primarily be focused on managing the account relationships, business outcomes, and successful growth of EV programs for our utility customers. This role may also include supporting a wide variety of strategic business, product, and operational initiatives. 


Tasks may include: 

  • Primary: Own enterprise utility client program growth activities for your assigned clients including: 
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for contracted and ongoing client programs
    • Proactively measure business results, share insights, and adapt ongoing work as a client advisor dedicated to program outcomes
    • Balance internal and external needs, keeping all key stakeholders aligned on achieving outcomes
      • Become the voice of the client internally and clearly articulate utility client priorities to internal teams
      • Manage client expectations concerning features, products, and services
      • Coordinate with internal and client teams to roll out new features and offerings
      • Lead internal and client team coordination to execute driver enrollment growth activities, including marketing 
    • Lead client on-site meeting/ workshop planning activities 
    • Lead the creation and maintenance of account plans and execute against the plan with clients and internal teams 
  • Secondary: Support new business development with your existing assigned enterprise clients via relationships, develop a deep understanding of the clients' needs, and proactively identify areas where WeaveGrid could help. Activities may include:
    • Engage clients to build joint program growth roadmaps, lead workshops, and support consensus-building across client stakeholders

    • Coordinate with internal and client regulatory teams to support managed charging program approval via the regulatory process

    • Support contract extensions and expansions in active programs

    • Collect current and future requirements from clients and coordinate with internal operations, product, engineering, and data science teams to assess value, feasibility, and schedule

    • Support various sales objectives as defined by company OKRs 

  • Tertiary: Other duties as assigned, which may include: 
    • Provide utility client training and support
    • Contribute utility client-specific knowledge for RFX proposals for existing clients 
    • Contribute to award applications and speaking opportunities for your assigned client programs 
    • Additional assignments could include internal process creation, business analytics, sales support for prospective clients, or other opportunities

About You

  • You are experienced at managing large, enterprise clients and building ongoing business relationships with a clear focus on the highest-impact opportunities
  • You are known for excellent prioritization and project management skills - including building project plans, identifying critical paths, and providing visibility to all stakeholders on status
  • You have worked in fluid and fast-paced environments, whether in startups, industry consulting or elsewhere
  • You expect to work with people of different backgrounds and areas of expertise on a daily basis and can effortlessly switch contexts between technical, non-technical, and executive audiences
  • You have an insatiable appetite for learning and motivation to become an expert on products, clients, and industry trends
  • You are attentive to detail and are practiced at translating client needs into clear internal asks
  • You are a highly effective communicator

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-time experience working in management consulting, energy, utilities, or related areas 
  • Experience managing high-value enterprise contracts and customers with multiple stakeholders externally and internally
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to translate for a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on a variety of tasks in response to immediate needs 
  • Proficiency in modern software tools (e.g. Gsuite, MS Office, Slack, HubSpot, etc.)
  • Based in the United States, preferably in the Central or Eastern timezone 

Preferred Characteristics

  • Advanced degree in business, energy, sustainability, engineering, or analytical sciences 
  • Domain expertise in one or several of the following areas: 
    • Electric mobility 
    • Power systems 
    • Enterprise software systems 
  • Experience working with Utilities on customer-facing programs
  • Experience in IT implementation best practices
  • Experience in enterprise cloud software architecture and security

The total compensation for this opportunity includes a base salary range of $110,000 - $150,000 plus equity (stock options) and benefits. This is our target compensation range and is subject to multiple factors including role, level, experience, and location. As you go through our interview process, our recruiter will work with you to identify a competitive base salary within the proposed range and combine it with an equity package to get you excited about your future at WeaveGrid.
