Job Description:
Summary:
We are looking for an experienced automation engineer with a strong infrastructure background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automating processes and a willingness to learn and work with storage platforms in a multi-petabyte environment. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation for our storage infrastructure consisting of multiple vendor platforms and a variety of geographic locations, focusing on data center but may involve some cloud activities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive automation of the implementation, maintenance, and alerting and metrics of the storage environments.
- Design and implement automated workflows leveraging tools such as Bash, Terraform, PowerShell, Python, etc.
- Leverage RESTful API integrations for automated orchestration of resources.
- Automate manual and repetitive operational tasks to reduce overhead and improve reliability
- Analyze current workflows and infrastructure to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Follow ITIL processes and procedures to ensure proper control of environments is maintained
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in automation and scripting or software development with IaC experience
- Knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Python or equivalent
- General understanding of enterprise NAS. Willingness to be trained to an advanced level.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in infrastructure automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and skills quickly.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve complex issues.
