Marketing at Brex

The Marketing team tells the Brex story, determines messaging and positioning, and translates our reimagined products and features into tangible customer benefits. Our marketers—across Brand, PMM, Content, and Performance—are responsible for acquiring new customers and have a deep understanding of the business. We’re a highly cross-functional team and partner most closely with the Product, Sales, BD, and Design teams to help our prospects and customers grasp how we can help them reach their full potential.

What You’ll do

As a Field Marketing Coordinator for Startups, you will play a crucial role in executing localized marketing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and customer acquisition. You will support the planning and execution of in-person events, and regional marketing campaigns. Working closely with sales, and brand marketing teams, you will help create memorable experiences that strengthen Brex’s presence in key markets. You will support our Field Marketing Manager for the startups segment to seamlessly execute new and exciting revenue-driving events. 

Our revenue marketing programs contribute directly to Brex revenue by fueling our sales teams with quality leads to deliver new customers for our Brex Empower platform. Through these programs, we have the opportunity to network with existing customers for relationship building and provide opportunities for upselling. Brex events are a collaboration of cross-functional teams to showcase our brand, new products, and drive revenue. 

The ideal candidate has experience supporting various field events from start to finish, and is a self-starter who can prioritize workload with shifting priorities. Project management, a collaborative nature, creative problem-solving, and attention to detail are central to this role.

Where You’ll work

This role will be based in our San Francisco office. You must be willing to work in office at least 2 days per week on Wednesday and Thursday. Employees will be able to work remotely for up to 4 weeks per year.

Responsibilities

  • Support the foundation building of our field marketing programs & events through ideation, execution, and reconciliation; track detailed project timelines, support site selection, room layouts, technical requirements, run of show, onsite registration, and team coordination
  • Support to maintain the events calendar
  • Coordinate event shipments and procure/manage event swag and team uniforms.
  • Manage local field event programs, including regional dinners, event activations, securing locations, and menu planning
  • Draft marketing materials and communications, event registration assets, and work with Marketing to develop communication timelines.
  • Oversee event technology and attendee data through registration systems, event apps, and Salesforce
  • Maintain event documentation for historical context and improvements
  • Support to manage post-event surveys and analysis and continually improve event programs based on this feedback and industry best practices
  • Maintain budget tracking and ensure all campaigns are executed efficiently and within allocated resources.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in field marketing, event marketing, or a related role, preferably in a high-growth startup or fintech environment.
  • Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Familiarity with marketing tools such as CRM systems, event management platforms, and email marketing software is a plus.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle last-minute changes with ease, takes initiative, and is self-motivated
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
  • Ability to travel to events for onsite setup and team supervision
  • May be asked, on occasion, to lift heavy items – ability to lift 30 pounds
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is $83,168 - $103,960. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
