We’re on a mission to create space for everyone to find belonging, and now we’re looking for a Staff Technical Program Manager (TPM) to help us leverage AI technologies to make our platform and teams even more efficient and innovative.

As a Staff Technical Program Manager for AI Programs, you will play a pivotal role in driving AI adoption and innovation across Discord. Working cross-functionally with teams across the company, you’ll identify opportunities for AI to enhance efficiency and scalability while advocating for its use in both technical and non-technical projects. Your expertise in AI tools and program management will empower Discord to unlock the full potential of these transformative technologies.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Identify Opportunities for AI Adoption: Analyze workflows across EPAD and other teams to uncover opportunities where AI solutions can increase efficiency, scalability, or innovation.
  • Advocate for AI Usage: Be a strong advocate for AI usage, developing compelling narratives, training material, and owning initiatives that encourage adoption across technical and non-technical projects.
  • Partner and Innovate: Collaborate closely with engineering teams and use your expertise to develop and deliver impactful internal AI solutions tailored to specific business needs.
  • Drive Programs: Design, develop, and lead organization-wide AI programs, ensuring they are impactful, well-structured, and scalable.
  • Vendor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for AI vendors including: evaluating offers, managing negotiations, and handling vendor relationships.

What you should have

  • AI Mastery: Extensive hands-on experience leveraging and implementing AI technologies to transform workflows and drive innovation, with demonstrated ability to architect solutions that go beyond basic prompt engineering.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience partnering with engineering teams building and deploying internal tools using a variety of AI technologies.
  • Advocacy Skills: Passion for AI and the ability to articulate its value to both technical and non-technical audiences, fostering adoption across diverse teams.
  • Program Management Excellence: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute large-scale programs across organizations or companies, with a focus on measurable outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience collaborating across engineering, product, and other functions to deliver results.
  • Problem-Solving Orientation: A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a track record of driving innovative outcomes in ambiguous or complex situations.
  • Nice-to-Have: Experience with platforms like Discord or other large-scale community-driven applications

#LI-Remote
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $220,000 to $247,000 + equity + benefits.
