We're seeking a Staff Software Engineer to help lead our software development efforts and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products. This is a technical leadership role where you'll be deeply involved in both high-level architecture decisions and day-to-day coding.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of software systems for our automated material handling solutions
  • Architect and develop high-performance, reliable C++ code for our control systems
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and firmware teams to integrate software with hardware systems
  • Be a leader on the software engineering team
  • Contribute to the product roadmap and technical strategy
  • Ensure code quality, performance, and reliability through code reviews and best practices
  • Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment and maintenance
  • Work closely with the project implementation team to ensure smooth deployment of systems at customer sites

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 8-10 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong background in C++
  • Expertise in developing software for embedded systems or industrial automation a plus
  • Experience with real-time control systems and multi-threaded programming
  • Familiarity with Linux-based systems and low-level hardware interfaces
  • Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns
  • Experience leading and mentoring software engineering teams a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
