TEAM

The AD/ADAS Program Management Team’s goal is to enable the successful delivery of technology from the engineering organization to achieve business goals. The Program Management function in Woven By Toyota’s (WbyT’s) AD/ADAS organization is a partner to the Engineering and Product functions and owns the technical execution of the AD/ADAS portfolio maintaining the organization’s plan of record and ensuring execution velocity and agility of a highly cross functional engineering team distributed across multiple locations.

We are problem solvers who make things happen by setting and communicating clear goals and supporting engineering teams to deliver the best safety critical autonomy through the technical and organizational complexity.


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Staff Program Manager for this position. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating ambiguity, engaging with leadership, and collaborating with teams across WbyT and external stakeholders to steer programs toward successful delivery.


You should be highly motivated by the challenge of bringing complex technology programs to market and adept at solving interdisciplinary problems with a strong focus on execution. In this role, you will work with a talented group of cross-functional stakeholders across organizations to develop execution plans that facilitate the launch of products and features.


This role requires deep operational expertise, strong cross-functional communication, and a data-driven approach to ensure the successful expansion of fleet capabilities while optimizing performance, cost, and safety. Additionally, a genuine interest in mediating processes, such as design reviews and build schedules, to enable the WbyT collaboration with external entities.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and oversee a structured approach to the program, ensuring alignment with broader business goals. Define program scope, key milestones, and success metrics to drive execution and continuous improvement. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployment and scalability of fleet-related initiatives, including Hardware teams, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain, Legal, and Vehicle Operations. Facilitate coordination between internal teams and external partners to address operational, regulatory, and market-specific requirements.
  • Oversee budgeting and resource allocation to ensure cost-effective execution. Manage vendor and partner relationships to support program needs effectively, including handling legal contracts with 3rd parties and ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Coordinate day-to-day and vehicle deployment operations and logistics, address road sensitivity issues, and manage drivers management coordination 
  • Identify and proactively mitigate risks that may impact program timelines, quality, or efficiency. Develop contingency plans to address challenges related to deployment, infrastructure, and system integration. Communicate program updates, risks, and dependencies to senior leadership and key internal and external stakeholders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of program management experience within a software, automotive, aerospace, robotics, or mobility-related industry.
  • Proven track record of leading large programs to successful delivery spanning cross-functional engineering organizations of 100+ stakeholders.
  • Experience driving technical programs in ambiguity, with only high-level direction across distributed teams and diverse business cultures.
  • Experience with establishing and evolving program operations and decision making structures adapting to team culture and operating constraints.
  • Knowledge of software product engineering, integration, release, testing, and validation.

NICE TO HAVES

  • Experience in Autonomous Vehicle programs, Automotive, or OEM/Tier-1 environments
  • Experience in fleet operations, mobility services, or large-scale vehicle deployments, with a focus on scaling fleets efficiently
  • Proficiency in Business level Japanese
  • PMP/PMI or other Project Management certifications are welcome

The base pay for this position ranges from $161,000 - $264,500 a year.


Your base salary is one part of your total compensation. We offer a base salary, short term and long term incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package. The total compensation offered to an employee will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and level.
