WHAT IS BOX?

Box is the world’s leader in Intelligent Content Management. We are trusted by more than 115K organizations around the world today, including nearly 70% of the Fortune 500 and leaders across deeply regulated industries (such as AstraZeneca, JLL, and Nationwide), to protect their data, fuel collaboration, and power critical workflows with secure, enterprise AI.

By joining Box, you will have the unique opportunity to continue driving our platform forward. Content powers how we work. It’s the billions of files and information flowing across teams, departments, and key business processes every single day: contracts, invoices, employee records, financials, product specs, marketing assets, and more. Our mission is to bring intelligence to the world of content management and empower our customers to completely transform workflows across their organizations. With the combination of AI and enterprise content, the opportunity has never been greater to transform how the world works together and at Box you will be on the front lines of this massive shift.

Founded in 2005, Box is headquartered in Redwood City, CA, and we have offices across the United States, Europe, and Asia.

WHY BOX NEEDS YOU

We are a passionate and results-driven Developer Relations team shaping the future of developer operations, advocacy, and tooling at Box—with a strong emphasis on content and AI. We're seeking an individual who genuinely cares about the developer community, champions their needs, and is eager to help us foster an engaging, dynamic ecosystem.

Our platform and developers are at the heart of Box’s growth, with AI serving as a key catalyst. As a Staff Developer Advocate, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving this next chapter, leveraging the visibility and influence of our team. This is an opportunity to lead transformative initiatives, make a significant impact, and help shape the future of the developer experience at Box.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Help drive awareness and adoption of Box AI and establish Box as the go-to developer tool for RAG and Agentic applications across the AI developer ecosystem. When developers think about content in their AI workflows, they should think about Box.
  • Write AI framework connectors, sample applications, prototypes, and code samples to showcase the power and flexibility of Box platform.
  • Help guide the long-term roadmap of AI tooling, documentation, social media outreach, guides, and onboarding material.
  • Support and reduce onboarding friction for developers through direct customer and partner engagement and long-tail support channels (forums, office hours, blog posts, etc.).
  • Be a voice and bridge for the external developer community internally. Work with multi-functional internal product and engineering teams to guide roadmap tasks based on developer feedback, bugs, and gaps.
  • Speak on behalf of Box platform and open technologies at conferences, meetups, and other technical events.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Required skills
    • You have 6+ years of developer relations or related experience.
    • You have experience building and delivering technical training and/or developer certification programs, both in person and online.
    • You are both a strong technical writer as well as a dynamic public speaker.
  • Preferred skills
    • You are active in the AI developer ecosystem, perhaps with open source contributions or AI application development experience, and have a working knowledge of RAG and AI Agent development.
    • You have a background in supporting developer / platform communities, open source projects, or user groups.
    • You have an established personal brand and network in the AI developer ecosystem
