The opportunity

Are you a thoughtful design leader who loves crafting simple solutions to complex problems? Adobe Design is seeking a Staff Designer to join our growing Customer Journey Management team in Adobe Experience Cloud. As we continue to assemble our organization, we are eager to find hardworking and experienced designers to influence all parts of the design process—from problem definition to design development and reiteration.

We’re looking for someone who can provide an immediate impact to the evolution and strategy of our products. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a team of designers, product managers, and engineers to deliver end-to-end experiences that have a direct and measurable impact on the business. You’ll contribute to the design process from start to finish; from defining the right problems to solve, validating prototypes with users, all the way to analyzing performance and recommending future improvements. Collaborating with our innovative team of designers and researchers, you can help imagine the future of digital experiences for some of the biggest brands in the world.

What you'll do

  • Simplify. Translate complex user needs into practical design solutions that are grounded in user research and data. Lead the development of tools that redefine how brands create, optimize, and personalize experiences to advance their objectives.

  • Strategize. Partner with the Design Manager to establish team vision and goals, ensuring alignment with product objectives.

  • Collaborate. Demonstrate thought leadership through the facilitation of workshops with partners and other design teams. Create compelling stories—via sketches, storyboards, high-fidelity mockups, and/or prototypes.

  • Learn. Uncover and synthesize user goals, validate design solutions, and incorporate findings into your design process.

  • Balance. Confidence in driving multiple projects forward while delivering on short-term goals.

  • Lead. Inspire teammates and forge relationships across the company.

What you’ll need to succeed

Must haves:

  • Related degree or 6+ years of equivalent experience in product design, building enterprise workflows to help users get through complicated systems.

  • Direct experience across a range of design approaches and methodologies, from persona development and research to prototyping and the many steps in between.

  • Ability to think strategically and solve complex design challenges with experiences that meet user needs, product requirements, and strategic business objectives.

  • Experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Illustrator, Photoshop, Keynote, or Sketch.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to clearly communicate sophisticated ideas both verbally and in writing form.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor, encouraging an inclusive and empowering environment for other designers to do innovative and impactful work.

  • Confidence in presenting design rationale persuasively to all functions of the organization, including executives.

Nice-to-haves:

  • A clear understanding of marketing strategies, including personalization and experimentation methodology.

  • Experience with AI technologies and related user experiences.

How to apply

To be considered for this role, please submit a resume. Include examples of work you feel demonstrates you have the skills needed to succeed.
