Sr Solution Architect

The opportunity
Unity is seeking a Solution Architect with domain expertise in areas such as automotive design, factory planning, eCommerce, and other business verticals. This role is crucial in supporting our pre-sales efforts and guiding customers through consultative engagements. The Solution Architect will work closely with our sales teams to craft solutions and strategies that drive business outcomes while positioning Unity as the leader in real-time 3D technologies.

In addition to domain expertise, this role includes responsibilities for supporting a group of salespeople, owning an ACV target, and helping customers succeed through strategic, consultative advice.

What you'll be doing

• Provide expert-level domain knowledge and support for customer-facing teams during early opportunity discovery, aligning customer needs with Unity’s capabilities
• Collaborate with sales teams to develop strategic opportunities, craft solution and account strategies, and take ownership of an ACV target
• Present demos and consult with customers to inspire realistic, impactful projects, while providing feedback to product management to improve Unity’s industry solutions
• Work closely with customer business and IT teams to understand requirements, design solutions, and define the technical portions of contracts
• Develop reference architectures and promote best practices for reusable Unity solutions across customer implementations

What we're looking for

• Extensive domain knowledge in industries such as automotive, eCommerce, or manufacturing, with a strong consultative approach to customer engagements
• Experience in pre-sales or consulting, with proven ability to develop business-focused solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Strong communication skills with the ability to "think big" and help customers envision large-scale, realistic projects
• Proven background in computer science or equivalent experience in engineering and software architecture design
• Demonstrated experience leading customer meetings, scoping projects, and building relationships with key stakeholders such as sales, product managers, and technical teams

You might also have

• A background in consulting or business process analysis, with expertise in Unity or other visualization platforms as a plus
• Ability to work across multiple industry sectors, including automotive, manufacturing, or commerce, with a broad understanding of their unique needs
• Enthusiasm for helping customers succeed and passion for cutting-edge real-time 3D technologies
• Experience acting as a trusted advisor to customers, guiding them toward successful outcomes
