The Team:
The Investment Management team drives the innovation and development of wealth management products that provide automation and scale to strategy and portfolio management, trade optimization, portfolio rebalancing, broker and custodian integrations.
The Opportunity:
As an engineer on the Investment Management team, you will get the opportunity to contribute to the next generation of tax management software for the wealth management and financial services industry. You will collaborate closely with our product team to understand our software and develop new product features and enhance our existing features. You will learn and enhance MyVest’s core portfolio optimization features and rebalancing algorithms.

- Demonstrated interest in finance, investing, and how financial technology (fintech) is changing the industry landscape.
- You are committed to staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, continually seeking opportunities for professional growth and development.
Ideal Experience:
- Java, Web Services (RESTful endpoints), Spring, and Hibernate are technologies you regularly develop products in.
- Proficiency in debugging complex systems, utilizing advanced tools and methodologies to quickly identify and resolve issues.
- You have a deep understanding of relational databases (SQL, Data Modeling) and their integration into complex enterprise products. Furthermore, you excel in optimization strategies to enhance overall system performance.
- As a tech lead, you've led complex development projects, owning project plans and holding members of the team accountable for their deliverables.
- You're experienced developing with NoSQL, ideally Cassandra/CQL, and scalable distributed systems
- You’re dedicated to Test-Driven Development (TDD), demonstrated through a history of seamlessly integrating this approach to guarantee resiliency and good code quality.
- A keen eye for metrics instrumentation, ensuring that appropriate metrics are identified, implemented, and monitored throughout the design and development of features and projects to guarantee performance, reliability, and scalability.
Location:
- While MyVest is in a hybrid (office and work-from-home) work model, this role is required to be in the office frequently. MyVest will fill this position in the San Francisco Bay Area only.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base salary for this role will be between $180,000 to $199,000. Placement in this range depends upon a variety of factors including prior relevant experience and skill set.
- The range listed above is just one component of MyVest's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation includes an annual bonus, long-term incentives, and program-specific stipends.
