The Purpose:

As the Senior Product Marketing Manager, reporting to our VP of Product Management, you will help shape go-to-market strategy and execution for Slickdeals. You’ll be responsible for helping our community find maximum value in Slickdeals by leading our user education efforts and driving the launch of new product features. You’ll develop differentiated messaging and positioning for the company and partner closely with Product, Design, Engineering, Ops, Growth, and Sales to deliver audience insights and user segmentations that inform product roadmap and company strategy.

This is a unique opportunity for foundational building at a company that already has a passionate community numbering in the millions. The programs you build are mission-critical for the company’s next phase of growth and you should expect frequent and regular interactions with the company’s C-Suite leadership.

What You'll Do:

  • Launch new product features: Collaborate with Product, Design, Ops, and Sales to define the go-to-market strategy and messaging for new product launches.
  • Be the user advocate: Serve as the voice of our target users, advocating for their needs by using data and insights to build consensus with Product, Design, Eng, Ops, and other internal teams.
  • Define company positioning: Leverage user insights, segmentation, and research to refine Slickdeals’ company positioning, clarify its value to our target users, and enforce consistency of message & voice with cross-functional teams.
  • Craft compelling messaging: Develop creative messaging across the user journey that reinforces a consistent narrative and helps our target users find value.
  • Become a market expert: Study the competition and macro-trends to find areas of opportunity for Slickdeals and identify ways to cut through the noise to reach our target audiences.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships: Collaborate closely with key internal teams to advocate for community needs, influence roadmaps, and ensure clear and holistic thinking across user journeys.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: 5+ years of product marketing experience, preferably at a technology company with community focus. You’ve successfully launched multiple products and/or features.
  • Expertise: Deep competency in crafting compelling messaging and differentiated positioning strategies.
  • Strong communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to synthesize complex insights into simple, compelling messages. You create laser-sharp clarity from a wealth of information.
  • Relationship builder: Ability to quickly build trust and credibility with cross-functional team members.
  • Self-Starter with Bias to Action: You’re comfortable with ambiguity and you can drive clarity and structure in the midst of a fast-moving business.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
