Role Overview


Plasmidsaurus is hiring a Senior Product Manager to define, own, and scale our genomics DNA sequencing services portfolio. You will shape product strategy, drive customer and market insights, and lead cross-functional execution from concept through launch and growth. This role serves as the bridge among R&D, Operations, Marketing, and Revenue, ensuring we deliver differentiated, high-impact solutions that empower scientific discovery.

What You’ll Do

Understand the market and customer needs

  • Lead customer engagement to identify unmet needs, workflows, and motivations for genomics sequencing applications.

  • Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and segmentation to inform strategy and prioritization.

  • Serve as the internal voice of the customer for the services and applications in your portfolio.

Own product strategy and roadmap

  • Define and evolve the product roadmap for genomics DNA sequencing services.

  • Collaborate across teams to align strategy with technical feasibility and operational readiness.

Drive product lifecycle execution

  • Manage the product lifecycle from ideation through commercial launch and iterative improvement.

  • Lead service pricing and positioning strategy development.

Enable go-to-market and growth

  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop and execute Go-to-Market strategies to drive awareness, adoption, and revenue.

  • Support Revenue teams with tools and narratives that accelerate adoption and growth.

  • Track performance and refine offerings based on customer feedback and business metrics.

Contribute to Product Management function

  • Help build and refine product management frameworks and processes, to improve cross-functional collaboration and efficiency.

Expected Outcomes (6–12 months)

  • Lead customer research for 3 new services, defining customer segmentation, use cases, and key requirements.

  • Launch one or more services starting from the product concept phase.

  • Establish a product roadmap with cross-functional buy-in that drives early revenue and adoption.

  • Collaborate with Go-to-Market teams to enable successful product launch and uptake among target segments.

What You’ll Bring

Experience & Background

  • Minimum of 5 years experience launching products or services in sequencing or related workflows, including managing key technical and business dimensions.

  • Deep understanding of genomics platforms, library prep methods, and associated analysis needs.

  • Proven capability defining product roadmaps, driving cross-functional alignment, and delivering measurable market impact.

  • Experience influencing product direction and revenue growth without direct authority.

Technical Expertise

  • Familiarity with genomics sequencing applications (e.g. whole genome and targeted sequencing, counting applications) and customer workflows.

  • Solid grounding in sequencing technologies, data outputs, and bioinformatics considerations.

Education

  • Advanced degree in molecular biology, genetics, bioengineering, or related field (PhD preferred).

  • Excellent communication and collaboration across scientific and commercial teams.

  • Customer-centric mindset with the ability to synthesize insights into actionable strategy.
