As a Senior Product Manager, you will be a key player in driving product innovation and excellence within platform hardware offerings. Working at the forefront of product development, you will lead initiatives to drive growth, enhance user experience, and deliver value to our customers. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of our product portfolio, contributing to our mission of transforming the cyber security industry.

Objectives of this role include:

  • Produce product requirements and corresponding business cases for new or evolving BIG-IP hardware products.

  • Define the principles, guidelines, standards for making data driven decisions to build and/or OEM new physical products.

  • Drive the execution of all processes in the hardware product lifecycle, including product concept, make vs. buy analysis, design requirements, New Product Introduction (NPI), flagship product, cash cow, sunset, and End-of-Life (EOL) 

  • Maintain stewardship of the hardware roadmap for multiple product families.

  • Support management of the hardware investment budget tracking and prioritizing investments in the development of new hardware.

  • Work closely with manufacturing operations forecasting customer demand, managing lead times, quality control and inventory management.

  • Work closely with supply chain management on reducing product costs, managing parts obsolescence, following roadmaps of key component suppliers, and identifying supply chain risks.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams in the development, QA, and release of products, and balance resources to ensure success for the entire organization.

  • Prioritize geographic homologation certifications for new products.

Skills and Experience:

  • This role requires an understanding of networking technology, environments and the high-level software architecture used in networking devices that are typically deployed in data centers.

  • The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of turning new ideas into launched products, building successful cross-functional teams, and fostering a culture of success.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams of product professionals, including designers, developers, and architects prioritizing key deliverables for new products, while ensuring they meet quality, compliance and performance standards.

  • Ability to partner with PM Leadership to define and maintain a PM strategy and process for roadmap alignment with other stakeholder product teams.

  • Strong Oral and written communication skills.

  • Must have at least ten years of experience working with networking and/or security technology.

  • Must have at least 5 years of experience working in product management.

  • BS Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

  • Experience in hardware design, supply chain management, or manufacturing is a plus.

The annual base pay for this position is: $176,732.00 - $265,098.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
