We seek a highly skilled and motivated Senior Network Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in architecting, implementing, and maintaining the robust network infrastructure that empowers our creative teams to produce world-class animated films. As a Senior Network Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring network stability for our studio while regularly implementing strategic hardware and software changes. You will work alongside a talented, dedicated, and collaborative Systems team, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement network topologies that support and enhance our creative workflows, adapting solutions to meet evolving needs
- Perform daily network maintenance, including installation, configuration, operation, and troubleshooting of wide-and local-area networks and network equipment
- Manage and troubleshoot Wired, Wireless, and VPN connectivity, ensuring seamless user experiences
- Monitor, analyze, and report network service metrics, identifying improvement areas
- Research, design, and implement security solutions for network infrastructure
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of switching and routing equipment, networks, connected network devices, and cabling interconnects
- Develop and document standard operating procedures and maintenance schedules, promoting efficiency and consistency
- Implement proactive solutions and conduct thorough root cause analysis for critical issues
- Share your expertise, mentor junior team members, and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Be active in team meetings to discuss network and data center updates, respond to network-related tickets, and participate in a shared rotation of off-hours on-call support
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of experience in network management and troubleshooting
- Background in Arista, Aruba, Juniper, and Palo Alto Networks routing/switching and firewall configuration or similar technologies
- Comprehensive expertise in networking protocols and their practical applications
- Proficiency with diagnostic and performance monitoring tools.
- Expertise in deploying and maintaining physical servers, networking equipment, and other hardware components in data center environments and customer endpoints
- A proven track record of technical leadership among team members and external collaborators
SKILLS
- Experience with configuration management/provisioning automation
- Experience with VMware vSwitches and port groups
- IPv6 experience
- Experience implementing 802.1x
The hiring range for this position in Emeryville is $177,480.00 to $229,680.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
