TEAM & ROLE

We're seeking a talented Sr. Manager, Business Operations to join our team, reporting directly to the VP of Operations. In this dynamic and high-impact role, you will be responsible for scaling our run-the-business functions, building and maintaining efficient operational processes, and working cross-functionally with business unit leaders on key strategic initiatives. 

This unique position touches every part of the organization and wears many hats. You'll be responsible for bringing scale and maturity to all the infrastructure and foundations of the business that keep the Benepass engine running smoothly. You’ll also play in a uniquely strategic role, working on a wide range of initiatives that are top priority for business leaders and critical to achieving our company goals. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys both the birds-eye view of strategic leadership with hands-on experience building process and infrastructure for scale. 

In this role, you will: 

  • Partner with senior leaders to identify, plan, and execute initiatives that advance our overall efficiency and scale.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive performance, accountability, and continuous improvement on the company's strategic priorities.

  • Drive improved visibility into KPI tracking and performance measurement across the organization.

  • Lead the development and ongoing improvement of financial processes, such as monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting, investor communications, and Board presentation preparation—ensuring seamless execution, data integrity, and strategic insights that inform business decisions.

  • Support the planning and execution of company wide operational rhythms, such as annual planning, goal setting, company offsites, All-Hands, and more. 

  • Optimize AR/AP processes such as billing, expense management, and vendor payments.

  • Identify and report on key efficiency metrics and partner with leaders to execute on ways to improve efficiency.

ROLE LOCATION & TRAVEL

 You will be expected to attend company-wide on-site events three times per year.

Preference will be given to candidates in Pacific and Mountain time zones.

ABOUT YOU


You're a strategic thinker with a strong operational background, combining analytical skills with a hands-on approach to problem-solving. 

  • Consulting or finance background, with experience at a scaling startup preferred.

  • Scrappy and comfortable operating in ambiguity.

  • "Can figure it out" type of attitude.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

  • Proactive problem-solver who can identify opportunities for improvement and implement solution.

  • MBA preferred, but not required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years of overall experience, with at a minimum of 5 years in business operations, management consulting, private equity, or similar role

  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects and driving operational improvements.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and financial software.

BONUS SKILLS

  • Experience with startup operations and scaling G&A processes.

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.

  • Familiarity with HR and benefits industry trends.

COMPENSATION

Base salary of $180,000 to $200,000.

Range(s) is subject to change. Benepass takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including market comparables, interview performance, peer compensation, and years of experience.What We Offer
