About the teamThe Billing, eCommerce and Accounts Receivable team is a team within the finance operations group and serves as the front line for Zillow Group’s customer facing finance operations. The team's scope ranges from eCommerce Payments support, to online and billed in arrears services. They provide customer support for Zillow's external agent partners and several internal teams. About the role

The Sr. Manager of Billing & Payment Operations will lead the billing operations team and the cash applications operations team. The Senior Manager will build durable internal controls over the accuracy and completeness of customer invoicing, billing reconciliations, and the customer payment applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement processes and controls to ensure that the invoice and billing processes are accurate and complete across multiple billing systems including customer portal billing process.
  • Establish and implement policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure compliance, accuracy, and operational efficiency. Focus on setting processes to proactively inspect the reporting, trends and operations to prevent errors and gaps in the billing process.
  • Lead the resolution for internal and external billing and cash applications inquiries and to resolve discrepancies and proactively build processes to prevent future issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental leadership to assess resource needs and improve efficiency and internal controls.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and productivity to support a high-performing team environment.
  • Manage and mentor a team of revenue professionals that identify ways to prevent revenue leakage or loss, reduce costs associated with business operations.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $128,600.00 - $205,400.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • Minimum 7-10 years of work experience in leading finance operations and accounting teams with at least 3 years of leading managers. Direct management of Billing operations, ash applications and account reconciliations in the technology industry is preferred.
  • Leadership: Proven record of leading and developing high-performing teams with a focus on getting results and encouraging a collaborative environment
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making; experience in building complex financial models is a must
  • Strategic Approach: Ability to translate business goals into clear financial goals with track record of navigating complex, constantly evolving environment
  • Communication: Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills with experience working with cross functional leadership teams
  • Additional desired software experience includes Zuora, Stripe, Tableau in addition to solid use of excel and google applications.
