About Us The Role

In this critical role, you will play a key part in supporting our growth by providing insightful financial analysis and partnering with the leadership team to make strategic decisions. You'll be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

  • Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Maintain and enhance our financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability. Conduct variance analysis and scenario planning to assess the financial impact of business decisions.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Track and analyze key metrics and generate insightful reports to evaluate our financial performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Strategic Analysis & Budgeting: Support the creation of annual and long-term budgets, and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize financial performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with BD & Partnership, Marketing, BizOps,  and other departments to understand their needs, translate them into financial insights and support business initiatives. 
  • Fundraising & Investor Relations: Support the Head of Finance with market research to identify investors. Assist with the preparation of financial data and presentations for fundraising efforts.
  • Financial Operations: Assist with month-end close processes and other shared services based on ongoing business needs. 
  • Special projects and other duties as designated by your manager or assigned designee. 

The Sr. Financial Analyst position is San Francisco Bay Area-based, and will require at least two days per week in WeaveGrid’s San Francisco office.

About You

  • 3+ years of professional experience in FP&A, investment banking or similar roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights with little external guidance. 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey financial information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in startup operating systems and tools (e.g., Google Sheet, Quickbooks, Mosaic, Hubspot).
  • A collaborative and proactive work style with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Passionate about Climate Tech! 

The total compensation for this opportunity includes a base salary range of $115,000 - $136,000 plus equity (stock options) and benefits. This is our target compensation range and is subject to multiple factors including role, level, experience, and location. As you go through our interview process, our recruiter will work with you to identify a competitive base salary within the proposed range and combine it with an equity package to get you excited about your future at WeaveGrid.
