About the Role:
We are looking for a Sr. Director, Product Marketing to own a portfolio that spans CrowdStrike's industry-leading Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), Identity Threat Detection & Response (ITDR), Managed Detection & Response (MDR), and IR/Proactive service across the CrowdStrike Falcon XDR platform. This strategic role will lead a team of product marketers (Directors, Sr. Managers, Sr. PMMs) and partner with leaders across the company to deliver exceptional positioning and outsized growth for highly competitive markets.
You will work with the best in the industry, and we need you to bring your creativity, imagination and energy to this high-profile position. To be successful, you'll need to be a strong leader and subject matter expert across multiple domains of cybersecurity.
What You'll Do:

  • Category creation: Own the category evolution to continue dominating existing markets, and drive category creation for new offerings.
  • Positioning: Create sharp, bold and differentiated positioning with a clear understanding of the target customer and the core capabilities of the offering.
  • Team leadership: Lead, manage and elevate a team of skilled marketers to deliver compelling messaging, content, and sales tools that enable sellers to tell the CrowdStrike story.
  • Product Launch: Lead the planning and launch of new offerings, capabilities and releases and participate in managing the cross-functional implementation of those plans.
  • Content Creation: Lead a team to develop fresh content including collateral, thought leadership assets and solution presentations, website content, videos, blogs, by-lined articles and more to execute communication strategies and accelerate the buyer's journey.
  • Sales Enablement: Work closely with sales and alliances teams to ensure the value proposition, assets, training, support structures, and incentive plans are all in place for a strong sales motion in line with our platform and ecosystem capabilities.
  • Market and Competitive Intelligence: Be the expert on target buyers, market trends, and competitive offerings across the cybersecurity landscape and how this intersects with our offerings. Use this to drive differentiation and influence overall planning.
  • Strategic planning: Engage with cross-functional teams to help design, plan and execute the go-to-market strategy that drives measurable results.
  • Executive leadership: Engage with the executive team to develop a long term marketing strategy and product positioning.
  • Thought leadership: Serve as an evangelist for our products through thought leadership and blogging, social media, and speaking.

What You'll Need:

  • 15+ years of security software product marketing experience - product marketing or technical marketing, product management, cybersecurity and cloud and networking and/or B2B SaaS experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated prior experience successfully leading a team of multiple Directors, Sr. Managers, and individual contributors.
  • Deep domain expertise and prior senior leadership roles in endpoint security, identity protection, or cybersecurity managed services.
  • Bachelor's in business or marketing. MBA from a top tier program is preferred, but not required.
  • Very strong written communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent people skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties.
  • Highly-proactive, self-starter capable of effectively managing and prioritizing multiple projects.
  • Passionate about cybersecurity, intensity in your work, and ability to deliver in the face of a challenge.
  • Strong ability for cross-functional collaboration and comfort in the spotlight of high-visibility initiatives.
  • Ability to create clear and compelling messages as well as willingness to roll up the sleeves to create externally-facing assets or internal deliverables.
  • Strong presentation skills with ability to educate and inspire small groups and conference audiences.

Bonus Points:
High-tech, start-up, rapid growth and/or publicly traded company experience.
Love our business. CrowdStrike is a leader in cybersecurity. We don't have a mission statement. We are on a mission to protect our customers from breaches. You must be genuinely committed to our mission and eager to learn the details of our business.
