Job Description

  • Join the Achieve Lending Risk Modeling team to shape robust modelling solutions, bridge the communication with the business on any model related choices from data, input, variables, pricing, and seek model approvals from various risk committees by clearly presenting the model framework and underlying assumptions.
  • Develop subject matter expertise of credit risk models such as Probability of Default, Prepayment, etc.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute select models, quantitative methods, assumptions utilized in loss forecasting; and associated tools and reports
  • Conduct forward-looking analytics, including leveraging modeling and/or statistical tools, to identify pockets of portfolio risk
  • Leveraging the latest in decision-science and other data/AI tools


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics or related quantitative discipline is required; Master's degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in credit risk management in financial institutions
  • Must have experience in an analytic function at a financial institution
  • Analytical skills in SQL, Tableau, MS Excel, Python or R to quickly leverage large complex data and synthetize findings
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, coupled with an ability to translate ambiguous ideas/issues into well-defined plans/solutions with a track-record for delivering results
  • Initiative-taking and proactive with proven ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Effective communication skills, with ability to explain complex quantitative models clearly to audiences without a quantitative background


Ability to work on multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment

We are proudly offering hybrid options in the Phoenix, AZ & San Mateo, CA metro markets. Our preference is to hire in and around these two locations.
: $110,000 to $125,000 annually + bonus + benefits. This information represents the expected salary range for this role. Should we decide to make an offer for employment, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
