A Little About Us

The Corporate Applications organization at Yahoo builds and maintains the critical technical foundations that power our global business. We are a team of problem-solvers dedicated to delivering world-class financial platform solutions. We support global finance operations by optimizing processes, integrating complex systems, and leveraging cutting-edge automation. We look for individuals who are adaptive, collaborative, and eager to drive efficiency through modern technology and AI-augmented workflows.

A Lot About You

As a Sr. Business Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for implementing, supporting, and optimizing our Oracle Application finance platforms (focusing on Order to Cash). Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will lead the Order to Cash tracks, partnering closely with global process owners, engineering squads, and third-party contractors to identify root causes and design simple, elegant systems.

We are looking for a forward-thinking analyst who exhibits an openness to experimentation, continuous learning, and a proactive mindset in adopting AI-augmented workflows to scale corporate finance capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and implement AI-driven automation workflows (such as optical character recognition/document intelligence and automated approval flows) within the Order to Cash ecosystems to scale processing capabilities.

  • Utilize generative AI tools (such as Anthropic Claude via AWS Bedrock) to accelerate the creation of functional specifications, system configurations, mapping logic, and technical design briefs.

  • Establish and run validation and verification protocols for AI-generated operational reports, data reconciliations, and system outputs to ensure data integrity, audit readiness, and SOX compliance.

  • Leverage developer co-pilots and diagnostic systems (such as Amazon Q) to accelerate database troubleshooting, optimize SQL schemas, and streamline data extractions.

  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to gather business requirements, translating potentially ambiguous requests into scalable ERP architectures.

  • Configure and maintain Oracle ERP software and processes based on evolving business needs (specifically Billing, Revenue, Cash applications, and Collections).

  • Coordinate upstream and downstream technical dependencies, collaborating across systems teams to seamlessly integrate external platforms with Yahoo's core ERP/EPM environments.

  • Provide subject matter expertise in customer billing, lockbox setups, revenue management, cash collection, and accounts receivable receipts.

  • Design and deploy custom solutions leveraging Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Fusion Cloud, translating business solutions into scalable, maintainable technical layouts.

  • Drive complete testing lifecycles—including planning, writing test scenarios, and executing Conference Room Pilots (CRP), System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

  • Own and optimize production support, diagnosing complex system anomalies, driving key month-end close support activities, and mentoring junior systems analysts on operational standards.

  • Create, curate, and maintain system documentation, user guides, and training materials.

  • Lead project deliverables and coordinate with external contractors, ensuring on-time, high-quality releases.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of IT industry experience in finance systems analysis, solution design, and deployment using enterprise ERP systems.

  • 6+ years of experience working with Oracle ERP applications, including experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud components (Customer, Billing, Revenue, Cash applications, and Collections).

  • Demonstrated experience utilizing modern AI-assisted systems analysis tools or LLMs (e.g., Gemini, Copilot, Amazon Q) to optimize workflows or accelerate technical documentation.

  • Solid technical proficiency in database querying tools (such as SQL and TOAD) for troubleshooting, database diagnostics, and data extractions.

  • Proven experience in project management, lifecycle planning, and leading multi-disciplinary project squads.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with a proven ability to present technical architectures and business processes clearly to both end-users and leadership.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI-assisted software diagnostics and automated regression testing tools to streamline the ERP upgrade lifecycle.

  • Experience integrating Oracle applications with third-party billing systems or custom external middleware applications.

  • Master's degree in a technical or business discipline.
