The E.W. Scripps Company and Scripps Sports is seeking a Sales Support and Ad Ops Specialist to provide support required to process and execute sales advertising campaigns. The primary focus is seamless order execution, including order entry, providing campaign strategy/guidance, and delivering high-level client and team support.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Liaise with AE’s, Creative, Production, Sales Operations, and Media Operations to ensure sold schedules run as ordered.

  • Build and revise mocks, confirm copy/taglines, and perfect execution to client's satisfaction.

  • Foster productive, professional relationships with clients, agency contacts, and internal teams.

  • Build, revise, and maintain sales proposals. Compile proposal requests and reweights as needed.

  • Build, revise and maintain accurate entry of ordered schedules.

  • Work with Research to understand performance and provide client insights.

  • Generate and analyze sales reports including rating delivery data by week and adjusting advertising schedules. Complete online posting

  • Work for approval of re-expressions, movement of dollars, and ADU/Recap offers as needed.

  • Work closely with inventory management and sales operation teams to understand inventory to gauge week of availability, restrictions, and separation requirements to help maximize revenue potential.

  • Communicate with advertising agencies and clients for makegoods, preemptions, audience deficiency units, etc.

  • Identify and resolve billing errors or adjustments swiftly as possible

  • Attend and contribute to Sales and Ad Operations training and planning meetings as needed.

  • May assist with inventory control and updating rate cards.

  • Build production grids for each game.

  • Clipping and providing Airchecks and Hit times - 1x after every new execution and any follow up requests as needed.

  • Submitting Wrike requests for creative, sales decks, and sponsored promo tune-ins

  • Assist Sales team with pre-sales events, client appointments and order entry.

  • May facilitate & process sales presentations.

  • Attend sales planning meetings and team meetings

  • Arrange and distribute various advertising materials and sales reports as needed.

  • Assist in the generation of post-season recaps for all sponsors.

  • Participate in continuous improvement of processes and controls to support the growth of the business.

  • Working together with sales teams on various sports sponsorship elements, executions, and inventory.

  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience

  • Generally, 3+years of experience in related field preferred 

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Experience with end-to-end execution and support of sports sponsorships

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills in a deadline driven environment

  • Ability to multitask, while staying organized and detail oriented

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Work well in a team and independently

  • Adapt well to constant change

  • Ability to generate reports, business correspondence, and presentations

  • Aptitude to work with numbers and ability to calculate figures related to the advertising rate packages
