Solutions Engineer
Lob is building a suite of APIs for the enterprise. Our most popular API is our print and mail API that enables companies to send physical mail as effortlessly as sending emails. We are growing our customer base and product offerings quickly and are looking for additional Solutions Engineers to support and enable our rapidly growing Customer teams and to help shape the future of Lob.
As a Solutions Engineer, you will drive customer satisfaction and revenue by advising our customers on the value of Lob's technology. You will master all technical aspects of the sales and post-sales relationship with customers. You will partner with our Sales and Account Management teams to provide the right onboarding solution to the customer while working closely with our Operations and Product teams to help influence the direction of the product.
The successful candidate can communicate effectively across multiple departments and customers, can shift gears at a moment's notice and enjoys the challenges of providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a Solutions Engineer, you'll…
- Lead complex, technical conversations with customers.
- Design, develop, and present implementation strategies, solution architectures, proof of concepts, and project timelines for onboarding customers.
- Educate and support customers through the lifecycle of their partnership with Lob, provide thought partnership and guidance with best practices, and help remedy technical issues in a responsive and empathetic manner.
- Be passionately focused on the continued success and customer experience of all internal and external stakeholders.
- Reduce time to value and eliminate engineering friction for our customers.
- Provide guidance and training to our Customer teams to enhance their product knowledge and ability to navigate technical customer engagements.
What will you bring to this role…
- 3-5 years in a customer-facing, post sales technical role as a Solutions Engineer or equivalent title.
- Familiarity with REST API development and service integrations.
- Familiarity with popular CRM, Marketing, and Customer Data platforms (Salesforce, Adobe, Braze, Iterable, Hubspot, Klaviyo, Segment)
- Experience working with web technologies (Node/JS/TS, HTML/CSS, JSON.)
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, developing SQL, and cloud architecture (AWS preferred.)
- Programming proficiency in at least one language (Python, Ruby, PHP, Node/JS/TS, .NET, Java.)
- Excellent communication skills with both customers and teammates.
- Consistent track record of successfully overcoming technical and security challenges with customers.

Compensation Information
This position is structured to receive a base salary + Restricted Stock Units
CA/NYC Tier
Base Salary: 95,000.00 - 105,000.00
US Tier
Base Salary: 90,000.00 - 100,000.00
