About The Role

This role is within the Utility Client Solutions organization whose mission is to delight utility clients by delivering exceptional results for their EV programs. In this role, you will primarily be focused on supporting the Utility Client facing teams to craft solutions to meet customer goals through a consultative sales process. Pending business needs and applicant experience this role may shift to include management responsibilities or specialized individual contributions. This role may also include supporting a wide variety of strategic business, product, and operational initiatives. 

Responsibilities

Serve as subject matter expert on utility systems and requirements to inform integrations and product development initiatives 

    • Support client meetings with subject matter expertise in one of the following areas: Distribution Operations, Demand Management, Electric Mobility or other related electric utility expertise
    • Engage clients to build joint program growth roadmaps in conjunction with BD and client success
    • Gather requirements, scope, and define future integrations and product expansions for both existing and new clients.
    • Specify integrations with CIS, GIS, A/DMS, DERMS, Historians, etc.
    • Provide input on generic platform requirements (security, scalability, etc) and data integration requirements 
    • Serve as a point of contact for industry working groups

Support new business development in a Solution Architect and Sales Engineer capacity

    • Collect current and future technical requirements from clients and coordinate with product, engineering and delivery teams to assess value, feasibility, and schedule
    • Advocate for customer requirements within the company and communicate the product roadmap externally.
    • Create wireframe diagrams, elements of presentations, demos, and proposals to explain WeaveGrid software and technical approaches
    • Inform go-to-market materials including sales playbook, demo script, case studies, example RFPs, etc. 
    • Write Scope of Work documents and support detailed contracting
    • Support various sales objectives as defined by company OKRs 
    • Support partnership conversations around technical approach

Support successful implementation of projects 

    • Provide tier 2 support to project implementation managers for utility clients after the contract is signed
    • Assist with the design, additional detailed scoping, configuration, and testing of solutions
    • Provide utility customer training and support
    • Special projects and other duties as designated by your manager or assigned designee.

About you

You are an experienced solution architect and IT services professional, who excels in defining both product requirements and custom integration needs. Your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills enable seamless interactions with diverse individuals, ranging from technical to non-technical and executive audiences. 

Your strength lies in adaptability, enabling you to excel in dynamic and fast-paced environments, whether in startups, industry consulting, or other settings, where you handle urgent tasks with ease.Driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge, you are motivated to become the expert in products, clients, and industry trends. Your meticulous attention to detail ensures that you adeptly translate client needs into precise engineering requirements.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of full-time experience working in IT services, SaaS solutions, or related areas 
  • Experience providing software product demos to senior executives
  • Experience in enterprise software integration planning and execution
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to translate needs for diverse set of stakeholders
  • Proficiency in modern software tools (Gsuite, MS Office, Atlassian, Figma, CRMs, etc.)
  • Domain expertise in one or several of the following areas: 
    • Electric mobility 
    • Power systems 
    • Demand Response
    • Enterprise software systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Residing in or open to relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area
  • Advanced degree in engineering, business, or analytical sciences
  • Experience across both productized and IT services
  • Experience in market analysis, writing proposals and grants, and contract and policy law.
  • Fluency in data science concepts and data visualization tools 
  • Fluency in utility data standards (IEEE 2030.5, IEC, OpenADR)
  • Fluency in enterprise cloud software architecture and security

The total compensation for this opportunity includes a base salary range of $150,000-$220,000 plus equity (stock options) and benefits. This is our target compensation range and is subject to multiple factors including role, level, experience, and location. As you go through our interview process, our recruiter will work with you to identify a competitive base salary within the proposed range and combine it with an equity package to get you excited about your future at WeaveGrid.
