Software Engineer - New College Grad 2025

MatX is on a mission to be the compute platform for AGI. We are developing vertically integrated full-stack solutions from silicon to systems including hardware and software to train and run the largest ML workloads for AGI. We primarily use the Rust programming language.

This role is for any new graduate interested in joining our team across the Compiler, Kernel, and Simulator roles. 

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement software for our proprietary hardware architecture
• Provide insights and guidance on hardware architecture

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent degree by date of employment
• Possess outstanding software engineering skills with a focus on efficiency and performance

Preferences:

• Familiarity with SIMD programming, C, or assembly-level optimization, and familiarity with GPU kernels
• Familiarity with compilers such as LLVM
• Familiarity with ML models such as Transformers.
• Interest in building tools that people use 
• Interest in languages, Rust maintenance, and library development

Compensation

• The US base salary for this full-time position is $120,000 - $200,000 + equity
