Interview ProcessStep 1: Intro call with one of our team members or our Head of Engineering
We want to get to know you and for you to get to know us! On this call, we will talk about your professional background, what types of problems you like to solve, and what you want out of your next job. It’s also your opportunity to ask with any questions you have about the business and how else we would be able to support you.
Step 2: Take home technical exercise
Coding live on a zoom can be stressful and nerve wracking. We give candidates a take-home (fun!) project time-boxed to 3 hours - to be done any time that is most convenient for you. It is your time to shine by showing off your experience, creativity, and coding style.
Step 3: On-site interview
Our onsite interview consists of a system design, product review, and pair programming challenge. Here, more of our team members will get the opportunity to meet you, and you’ll be able to get a better sense of our team works together. The onsite is expected to be around 3-4 hours total.
Step 4: Offer!
At Column Tax, we’re committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with everything in the job description, we still encourage you to apply. You might be the right person for the role and we’d love the opportunity to meet you!
