By advancing science, building technology, and assembling a global coalition, we are catalyzing a global initiative to scale Enhanced Rock Weathering within the next decade, starting in Brazil.

Founded out of the Stanford University ecosystem, Terradot is led by the world’s leading experts to advance the science and technology of ERW. Our unique structure bridges industry, academia, and government and allows our team to contribute with speed & scale. We have raised $58.2M in total funding from John Doerr, Sheryl Sandberg & Tom Bernthal, George Roberts, Microsoft’s Climate Innovation Fund, Google, Cisco and Venture Funds, Floodgate, Kleiner Perkins, Acre Venture Partners, Gigascale Capital, Valor Capital, Ponderosa Ventures and others. We have sold ~300,000 tons in offtakes from leading CDR buyers like Frontier and Google.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. You will work on the Technology Team and work directly with the founders.

Role Responsibilities:

  • You will help build and scale Terradot’s data infrastructure and data integrations that power all of our deployment operations and scientific workflows to accelerate Terradot's global ERW deployments and help remove carbon at Speed & Scale.

  • You will work on mostly on backend technologies (Python/FastAPI). You will work on other technical infrastructure, such as cloud infra, CI/CD, DevOps, etc. as needed.

  • You will contribute to our culture of strong written documentation and development of CI/CD pipelines, unit-testing ensuring smooth deployment and high-quality code.

  • You will interface with our Deployment Operations and Science team and gather real-time feedback to rapidly iterate on the technology we build to support them. You will travel to our project locations and partners in Brazil as needed to help deploy and improve our data infrastructure and integrations

  • Some experience building efficient ETL pipelines (e.g. experience with SQL, DBT, Airflow).

  • Experience developing and managing API integrations (e.g. with labs) for data ingestion

  • A proven track record of shipping fast, especially in a startup environment, and building data infrastructure from 0-to-1

  • Experience working cross-functionally and collaborating with engineering, design, science and deployment operations teams

  • Insatiable technical curiosity: enjoy keeping up to date with the latest frameworks and tools and integrating them to develop better products and ship faster

  • Whether it means driving a truck transporting feedstock or collecting soil samples yourself, you are obsessed with understanding the end user’s needs and living in their shoes to build better software and ensure its effective deployment

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with distributed computing such as Spark is not at all required at our current scale, but experience understanding how our data infrastructure and ETL pipelines should scale is a plus!

  • Past experience working in CDR/climate/agriculture is not a requirement, but a passion for climate is a plus!

  • Past experience building data-intensive systems used in the physical world (e.g. in logistics, aerospace, construction) and/or in scientific domains (e.g. healthcare) is a huge plus!

  • Past multidisciplinary teamwork is a huge plus, as you will be working with an interdisciplinary team with expertise in Geology, Soil Science, Agronomy,  AI, Remote Sensing, Carbon Markets, Finance

Personal Attributes:
