About the team and the role: eBay, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 2 in San Jose, CA
What you will accomplish: Build robust and scalable software. Help improve eBay’s Code Services and system architecture. Participate in brainstorming sessions and supply ideas to eBay’s technology, algorithms and products. Work with the product and design teams to understand End-User requirements, formulate use cases, and deliver results. Estimate engineering efforts, prioritize projects, plan implementations, and triage production issues. Build new experiences, Improve existing products, and develop distributed systems powering the world’s largest E-Commerce websites at a large scale. Utilize tools and programs such as Cs Fundamentals. Aggregate information from various places and build relationships with key partners to get the information needed. Use data to frame out and solve problems. Utilize Object Oriented Programming concepts, Design Patterns, and Sdlc Technical. Utilize Algorithms and Data Structures, Such as Dynamic Array, Linked List, Stack, Queue, Binary Search, Binary Search Tree, Hash Map, Depth First Search, Breadth First Search, and Merge Sort.
What you will bring:
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

1. Developed and maintained high-performance Java applications, ensuring swift responsiveness to front-end requests and robust operation (1 year/s)
2. Crafted user-friendly web pages using HTML, maintaining compliance with design standards and browser accessibility. (1 year/s)
3. Built scalable microservices and web applications with Spring and Spring Boot, following MVC architecture and integrating security best practices (1 year/s)
4. Redesigned and migrated XML schemas to JSON for REST API integration within Node.js server-side applications, focusing on performance optimization and code quality. (1year/s)
5. Applied knowledge in data structures to enhance code efficiency for complex algorithm implementation and data storage solutions. (1 year/s)
6. Contributed to the system design and architecture, ensuring scalability and addressing load balancing, data consistency, and fault tolerance. (1 year/s)
Salary: $172,931.00-234,850.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
