About the Opportunity
As Social Media Design Director, you will be at the forefront of crafting OKX social and cultural presence through impactful concepts and thumb-stopping content. You will lead the global social team towards big ideas, innovative executions, and new social opportunities for social organic content. You will work with social media managers to define our visuals on social channels and illustrate day-to-day posts.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Continuously explore new trends and technologies to stay ahead of the curve and deliver innovative content.
- Ideate, oversee and execute social storytelling moments on X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat or TikTok.
- Produce images and videos that meet each platform’s format constraints and with content adapted to these various formats.
- Collaborate with internal departments to establish campaign objectives and complete tasks.
- Synergize and streamline creative operations and production efficiency.
- Brief agency partners and creators on design and creative direction.
- Leaner mindset that uses AI to improve production cost / time.
What We Look For In You
- 8+ years of experience in social media content and/or art direction
- Previous experience creating for social media channels X, Instagram, TikTok, Discord
- You love and live memes - from classic memes to irl trends, you know whats going on in popular culture
- You get your dopamine from creative taglines and social first storytelling
- You have framework thinking and an owner mentality
- Strong project management skills
- Portfolio that demonstrates your strategic, conceptual, and design skills
- Proficient in design tools: Figma, Photoshop, Canva
- Exceptional communication skills in English
- Problem-solver and flexible to adapt to the ever-evolving climate of social media.
- Prioritization skills and ability to manage timely social projects and evergreen campaigns
Nice to Haves
- Proficiency in motion design, video and photo editing (Adobe After Effects, Lightroom, Capcut Video Editor)
- 3D experience
- Understanding of cryptocurrency/blockchain-related terminologies and trends
- Bonus points if you have previously worked at a crypto exchange

The salary range for this position based for Tier 1 locations (California, New York, New Jersey) $175,000 - $262,000

The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to the salary, a performance bonus and long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
