Services Operations Manager, Data Strategy

Are you a visionary leader passionate about overcoming complex challenges and empowering diverse teams through data-driven insights? We are seeking an analytical and proactive manager who will craft innovative data strategies to elevate operational efficiency within our Services sector. Our Services Organizations comprises 3 areas of the Go-to-Market business: Professional Services, Customer Operations and Customer Success. 

How You’ll Find Success

  • Leadership and Team Development: Lead and cultivate a high-performing team of analysts by providing mentorship, coaching, and support tailored to their individual growth trajectories. Create a positive and inclusive team culture that embraces collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: The ability to foster strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders, including presenting insights and influencing business strategy at the Director level.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: The role requires collaboration with various teams such as finance, operations, services, and engineering. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills are essential for identifying and solving multifaceted problems.
  • Data Proficiency: Expertise in data visualization tools, SQL, R or Python, and advanced Excel functions are crucial. This includes the ability to strategize the architecture of data backends and manage reporting solutions.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities to investigate underlying issues, propose data-driven solutions, and develop innovative data strategies that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing large, complex projects suggests a competency in project management, including the ability to handle multiple priorities and timelines effectively.

How You’ll Grow

  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the Services businesses to effectively design data strategies that align with operational goals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in finance, operations, services, and engineering to identify and solve multifaceted problems.
  • Deliver actionable data solutions that support daily operations and play a pivotal role in achieving strategic objectives.
  • Foster strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders to fully understand their business objectives.

Things You’ll Do 

  • Collaborate with business leaders to strategically establish performance incentives, aligning metrics and setting appropriate targets to drive organizational success.
  • Develop standardized reporting suites that enhance business performance, enabling organizations to independently access and analyze their most critical data.
  • Deliver actionable insights to business leaders, helping them address significant operational challenges and implement positive changes.
  • Improve the processes within your team for effectively gathering and prioritizing data needs from stakeholders.
  • Lead junior team members contributing to your projects, fostering their professional growth.

What We’re Looking For On Your Resume

  • 2+ years of experience leading and developing teams of analysts in a fast-paced environment. 
  • 4+ years relevant industry experience in sales or services operations, planning processes, and/or associated CRM systems (i.e. salesforce.com or SAP C4C)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Qualtrics, Tableau, DOMO) and data visualization principles.
  • Proficient in SQL and R or Python, as well as advanced Excel functions
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate underlying issues and independently propose solutions.
  • A customer-focused mindset, prioritizing the needs and goals of internal teams.
  • Experience presenting insights and strategies to Director-level stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to engage with Director-level stakeholders to align on and influence business strategy.
  • Commitment to creating and scaling efficient processes across teams.
  • Experience managing large, complex projects with significant impact on the organization.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines effectively.
  • Ability to influence company-wide data governance strategies and lead the development of best practices for scalable reporting solutions.
  • Expertise in strategizing the architecture of data backends and report development while effectively resourcing the team based on their strengths.
  • Strong coding skills; proficiency in SQL and R or Python, along with advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Capable of reviewing and providing constructive feedback on SQL queries.
