Senior Technical Program Manager - Software

Location: Fremont, CA

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Technical Program Manager - Software to drive software projects across Pebble. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful development, integration, and launch of our groundbreaking electric vehicles. The role will focus on software development, embedded systems, and integration with hardware components while working closely with engineering, design, and other key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end software program management, overseeing development, integration, and launch of vehicle software and embedded technologies.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to align project goals, ensure clear communication, and drive execution.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation, to ensure successful project execution from concept to production.
  • Establish clear project milestones and deliverables, tracking progress and adjusting plans as necessary to ensure timely achievement of goals.
  • Identify potential risks and roadblocks, devise mitigation strategies, and proactively address challenges to minimize disruptions and delays.
  • Drive and facilitate data-driven decision-making with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate project updates, status reports, and technical details to internal and external stakeholders, fostering transparency and alignment.
  • Drive continuous process improvement within the teams, seeking opportunities to reduce friction, improve efficiency, and increase predictability of execution.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenditures, making strategic decisions to optimize resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • 5–15 years of technical program management experience in consumer or automotive products.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Strong experience with JIRA for task management, Confluence for documentation, and repository systems for commit/merge workflows.
  • Proven ability to track software development, identify blockers, and manage deployments, ideally in embedded environments.
  • Expertise in software-hardware integration and translating technical details into clear, actionable steps.
  • End-to-end software project management experience with a track record of bringing software-driven products to production, preferably in automotive or robotics applications.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, methodologies, and cloud-based applications, including software updates, data storage, and OTA telemetry.
  • Familiarity with C/C++, iOS, Python, and real-time embedded platforms (not required to code but able to engage with engineers).
  • Excellent communication, cross-functional collaboration, and adaptability in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • RV is a bonus.
