Datavant is a data platform company for healthcare whose products and solutions enable organizations to move and connect data securely. Datavant has a network of networks consisting of thousands of organizations, more than 70,000 hospitals and clinics, 70% of the 100 largest health systems, and an ecosystem of 500+ real-world data partners.

By joining Datavant today, you’re stepping onto a highly collaborative, remote-friendly team that is passionate about creating transformative change in healthcare. We invest in our people and believe in hiring for high-potential and humble individuals who can rapidly grow their responsibilities as the company scales. Datavant is a distributed, remote-first team, and we empower Datavanters to shape their working environment in a way that suits their needs.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with our software product development teams to facilitate the delivery of cross-functional programs. You will partner with stakeholders to assemble project teams, define responsibilities, allocate appropriate resources, and develop schedules that ensure clear dependency management and seamless execution. Additionally, you will assess and manage program risks by anticipating bottlenecks and facilitating necessary trade-offs.

This position requires candidates who embrace autonomy, possess a strong perspective on how teams can work effectively together, and have a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end planning and product delivery cycles. You should be skilled at fostering collaboration between teams and adept at managing diverse groups of stakeholders. Comfort with tracking and leveraging metrics to support team health and performance, along with advocating for continuous process improvement, is essential.

You will:

  • Organize highly complex, highly cross-functional programs and projects in alignment with the mission and goals of the organization.
  • Support continuous planning efforts leading up to quarterly and annual planning, and drive the execution of cross-functional plans.
  • Establish yourself as a leader within your Area and Program alongside product, engineering and other core departments. This is not a role for those who prefer sitting backstage taking notes and setting up meetings.
  • Establish a streamlined cadence across the program by implementing operating mechanisms that enable the program to efficiently achieve its goals and objectives.
  • Manage dependencies, track risks, and resolve issues to ensure program success.
  • Monitor and report on program delivery status and teams’ progress toward quarterly OKRs and roadmap milestones.
  • Enforce rigor across the program by ensuring effective documentation, cross-team communication, and efficient meetings.
  • Drive continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and metrics to identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Identify areas for ongoing improvement to support the adoption of best practices and contribute to organization-wide operational initiatives.

What you will bring to the table:

  • Strong technical background, with at least 8-10 years experience in software development as a delivery lead or technical program manager, preferably in the healthcare space managing complex programs.
  • Deep understanding of modern software development lifecycles.
  • Extensive knowledge of Agile practices and principles.
  • Proven experience in driving multiple technology projects and initiatives from inception to completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and scale cross-functional technology programs, processes, and delivery frameworks.
  • Proficiency with the Atlassian Suite, with high Jira acumen.
  • Familiarity with the OKR goal-setting methodology.
  • Experience working with distributed or multi-office teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and comfortably.

Bonus points if:

  • You have PMP, CSM, and/or SAFe certifications.
  • Have experience directly in the healthtech space.

We are committed to building a diverse team of Datavanters who are all responsible for stewarding a high-performance culture in which all Datavanters belong and thrive. We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other legally protected status.

Our compensation philosophy is to be externally competitive, internally fair, and not win or lose on compensation. Salary ranges for this position are developed with the support of benchmarks and industry best practices.

We’re building a high-growth, high-autonomy culture. We rely less on job titles and more on cultivating an environment where anyone can contribute, the best ideas win, and personal growth is driven by expanding impact. The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job. The estimated salary range for this role is  [$165,000- $200,000].

At the end of this application, you will find a set of voluntary demographic questions. If you choose to respond, your responses will be anonymous and used to help us identify areas of improvement in our recruitment process. (We can only see aggregate responses, not individual responses. In fact, we aren’t even able to see if you’ve responded or not.) Responding is your choice and it will not be used in any way in our hiring process.
