At HackerRank, we are on a mission to change the world to value skills over pedigree. We are a high-performing, mission-driven team that truly, madly, deeply cares about what we do. We don’t see velocity and quality as tradeoffs; both matter. If you take pride in high-impact work and thrive in a driven team, HackerRank is where you belong.

About the role:

As a Technical Program Manager on HackerRank’s Content Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in creating and curating world-class coding challenges that power all HackerRank products. You will lead an initiative to build a data annotation framework for training machine learning models in software development and coding. Our mission is to enable organizations to hire the best technical talent by assessing skills across a wide spectrum of roles and technologies. We’re seeking a highly technical, customer-focused leader who can scale content delivery, engage with developer communities, and drive operational excellence to support our growing content and data needs. At HackerRank, we strongly believe that AI is substantially changing how software development is being done. We don’t think that it stops at AI being just a code-writing assistant, but that AI will completely change how the SDLC is handled. Join us to shape the future of software development and enable organizations worldwide to hire the best technical talent!

You will thrive in this role if you:

  • Lead developer outreach and partnership initiatives to expand the Subject Matter Expert (SME) community and position HackerRank as a thought leader in technical assessments.
  • Lead the strategic planning and execution to build a data annotation framework and dataset curation initiative for machine learning model development.
  • Optimize content delivery workflows by identifying and implementing automation opportunities to enhance efficiency, consistency, and quality.
  • Keep pace with the rapidly evolving AI research space on software engineering to ensure our platform is targeting the right model training problems.

What you bring:

  • A deep technical background in AI model training and dataset requirements.
  • Experience: 3+ years in Technical Program/Project Management or Technical Product Management or similar role, with a strong technical foundation.
  • Customer Engagement: 2+ years of experience working with customers to deliver tailored technical solutions.
  • Technical Skills: Experience in one or more of the following areas: Front-end, Back-end, Cloud, AI/ML, or DevOps technologies.
  • Bonus: Experience working with open-source communities and contributing to developer ecosystems.
  • Bonus: Experience with an AI Research organization running its data partnership programs.
  • Bonus: A background in machine learning as a researcher or engineer working on LLMs.

Current base salary range: ($140,000 to $157,000). The exact salary may vary based on skills, experience, location, market ranges, and other compensation offered. The salary range does not include other compensation components, commissions (for sales-related roles), bonuses, or benefits for which you may be eligible. Salary may be adjusted based on business needs.
