Senior Software Engineer
As a Senior Software Engineer at Lob, you’ll contribute to several applications related to Logistics using primarily Node.js, Go, and Vue.js. You’ll work in a Service-Oriented Architecture with resources on AWS, leveraging SQS queues and Lambda functions. We maintain a culture of high collaboration, psychological safety and performance where individuals can thrive and gain meaningful experience to elevate their career potential.
As a Software Engineer, you’ll…
- Contribute to the development of supply chain and logistics solutions, particularly in middle mile sortation and direct mail commingling technologies;
- Coach and mentor fellow engineers and team members;
- Work with our Engineering leadership to support and grow the culture of our engineering team.
- Collaborate closely with the Product and Print Delivery Network teams to understand the problems we’re trying to solve;
- Lead and champion best practices in code design and architecture.
What will you bring to this role…
- 4+ years of experience working as a Software Engineer, preferably with Node.js, Go, Vue, or similar programming languages
- 3+ years of experience with operational responsibility over large-scale software systems.
- 3+ years of experience working with NoSQL stores, such as Redis
- 3+ years of experience working with job-queueing systems, such as SQS, Kafka, Kinesis, etc.
- 4+ years of experience working with relational databases, such as Postgres, SQL Server, MySQL.
- Experience working with unit and automated testing frameworks is a plus.
- Experience writing documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and empathically.

The compensation for this position is structured to include a base salary + RSUs. Base salary bands are listed below.
CA/NYC Tier:
Base: $180,000 - $207,500
US Tier:
Base: $170,000 - $195,00
