About the Team

World ID is a digital identity system and proof of humanity for everyone, designed to be a foundational identity protocol for the internet in the era of AGI. It is built to be self-custodial, secure, decentralized, and open, setting new standards for privacy and transparency.

At the heart of World ID are groundbreaking innovations in hardware and software—spanning distributed systems, cryptography, sensors, biometrics, machine learning and blockchain technology.

As part of the team behind World ID, you’ll work on defining and building its core systems, user experiences, and developer integrations. You'll help shape the future of technologies needed to realize this ambitious vision.

This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We are in the office 5 days a week with circumstantial flexibility and offer relocation assistance to new employees.

About the Opportunity

  • Expand: Drive the growth of World ID enrollment by introducing new verification methods, enhancing existing ones, simplifying enrollment, and enabling seamless account management to reduce churn.
  • Engage: Support real-world use cases by developing SDKs, cloud integrations, and privacy-preserving solutions for securely attesting personal information.
  • Excel: Build core technologies and infrastructure to optimize security, privacy, compliance, reliability, and development velocity for World ID.
  • Extend: Advance an open and decentralized World ID platform for empowering third-party developers to integrate World ID without relying on proprietary technologies and single points of failure.

As a Software Engineer on the World ID team, you’ll take ownership of key software components—designing, building, debugging, scaling and maintaining them to meet high standards and team objectives. You'll work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.

Pay transparency statement (for CA based roles):

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at TFH ranges from $216,000 - $240,000, plus a competitive long term incentive package. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
