An overview of this role

The Senior Sales Strategy Analyst will be a critical partner in shaping GitLab’s go-to-market strategy, optimizing sales effectiveness, and accelerating our revenue growth. This role combines deep analytical expertise with strong business acumen to uncover actionable insights from complex sales data while collaborating with sales leadership and other cross-functional stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of translating analysis into strategic recommendations that drive measurable impact and improve sales performance.

What you’ll do

  • Be a trusted advisor to Sales Leadership
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Channel and Product teams to formulate and develop go-to-market and Global Sales strategies, independently managing initiatives from ideation to execution
  • Partner with sales on annual planning activities and the territory carving
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and lead efforts to scale, align and invest in the business
  • Develop an understanding of and stay current with the competitive landscape
  • Author and deliver high-impact presentations and plans to support CRO and Theater Sales Leaders in internal Sales events
  • Ability to conduct sophisticated, detailed and creative analysis and clearly communicate results through written and verbal channels
  • Collaborate with regional sales leaders and teams to develop and execute sales management disciplines and processes (weekly/quarterly forecast, QBRs, pipeline analysis and development, etc)

What you'll bring

  • Demonstrated progressive experience in an analytical role within a technology business. Preference for Sales Strategy, Business Intelligence/Analytics experience
  • Excellent quantitative analytical skills, creativity in problem solving, and a keen business sense
  • Ability to think strategically, but also have exceptional attention to detail to drive program management and execution
  • Extensive track record of building high-quality and complex spreadsheets, models and presentations
  • Superb analytical skills and technical aptitude

Remote-Global

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. See more information on our benefits and equity. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary.

California/Colorado/Hawaii/New Jersey/New York/Washington/DC/Illinois/Minnesota pay range

$84,000$180,000 USD
