The CFO Organization at Snap includes: Accounting, Business Partner Finance, Business Planning & Operations, Finance Operations, Financial Systems, Risk Advisory Partners (fka Internal Audit), Investor Relations, Partnerships & Strategy, Tax, and Treasury teams. Together, the team partners with leadership to provide insights, information, and guidance to make strategic and operational decisions, inform investors about our business model and progress, and ensure the company is financially healthy and consistently meeting our reporting obligations.

We’re looking for a Senior, Metrics Assurance to join the Risk Advisory Partners team at Snap Inc! As part of the RAP team, you will be focused on metrics and data compliance. Working from our Santa Monica, CA office, you will collaborate with strategic business leaders across our Finance, Engineering, and Legal teams to provide comfort over key non-financial metrics used for executive decision making.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the execution of a comprehensive and cross-functional metrics audit program

  • Drive planning, scoping, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up phases of risk assessments, metric reviews, and other operational audits 

  • Build positive working relationships and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (including Engineering, Legal, Product, and other teams within Finance), co-source teams, and external auditors

  • Identify opportunities to develop data analytics, data visualizations, and automated continuous auditing/monitoring solutions and driving execution of relevant process improvements

 

Knowledge, skills, and abilities: 

  • Experience auditing non-financial, platform or engagement metrics and/or applying internal controls/risk principles

  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, etc.)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences, as well as various levels of management

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, adaptable critical thinker and team player who can take vague requirements and transform them into concise deliverables in a fast-paced environment

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Economics, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Engineering or other quantitative field, or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in auditing, consulting, business analytics, data analytics, data, science, or other analytical field

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience with data-focused audit projects at a technology company that demonstrates a strong understanding of technology infrastructure and processes as well as working knowledge of data analytics

  • 2+ years’ experience in testing and/or implementing IT, application, and/or manual controls with the capability of incorporating data analytics and automated tools/techniques in executing an audit and/or continuous monitoring program

  • Experience with databases and data analytics/visualization tools (BigQuery, Airflow, Alteryx, Looker, and/or Tableau)

  • Working knowledge of basic SQL, Java, and/or Python

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base salary range for this position is $130,000-$196,000 annually.


 

Zone B:

The base salary range for this position is $124,000-$186,000 annually.

Zone C:

The base salary range for this position is $111,000-$167,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
