As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer and Analyst, you will collaborate with teams to define requirements, write test plans, perform manual testing, analyze results, and maintain test cases in a remote environment.
Stack Influence is a VC-funded creator marketplace app connecting eCommerce brands with everyday social media users. We are a high-growth, remote-first startup.
You will report directly to the CTO on a small product and engineering team. We are looking for a hybrid, technical analyst that can understand and test a modern Javascript codebase while also performing business analyst duties.
Salary is between $75-100k USD with equity potential.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers, developers and designers to gather and define requirements and test plans.
- Write detailed requirements documents and test plans covering end-to-end, integration, and exploratory testing.
- Own and execute manual testing processes while working with software engineers to streamline test efforts.
- Analyze test results to identify root causes of issues, reproduce bugs using debugging tools and local development environments. Provide remediation recommendations.
- Maintain and update test cases as systems evolve to ensure thorough and accurate coverage.
- Assess how changes impact user workflows, anticipate potential pain points, and suggest enhancements or workarounds to improve product usability.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years of Quality Assurance experience with a focus on manually testing web applications.
- Exceptional writing skills, capable of producing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases, bug reports, and documentation.
- Proficient with database systems, including writing SQL queries to validate data integrity.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript to facilitate testing and to understand the underlying code behavior.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or Business related field.
