We are seeking a creative storytelling Senior PMM of Platform Messaging to own a new function at Datadog, creating compelling and consistent messaging for our product portfolio. This person has a love for understanding technology and building narratives and presentations for unique buyers. This role will own our new business sales deck, overall platform level messaging and help with customer facing presentations for events. 

The ideal candidate is a natural product marketer who can understand our technical product portfolio and create highly relevant messaging to both users (developers) and executives. This person is highly collaborative and can tie together product stories from across multiple product lines.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the Datadog New Business sales deck, including ongoing updates based on product and sales needs. 
  • Create persona profiles and content for multiple personas, mapping the persona to relevant challenges and products. 
  • Oversee content creation for Datadog Summit event series and DASH customer conference including multiple product sessions and keynotes. 
  • Create and maintain Datadog platform messaging guide, ensuring consistency and relevancy in all messaging, from product marketing to event signage, website, demand gen copy and beyond. 
  • Understand and articulate the Datadog platform advantage, including our underlying infrastructure and unique company differentiators
  • Create processes and procedures for approvals, distribution, alignment and more. 

Who You Are:

  • An experienced marketing professional with 5+ years of relevant experience in product marketing
  • An exceptional writer and storyteller. You love agonizing over every word on a slide to get the perfect messaging
  • Highly collaborative and able to drive cross functional project across an extended team
  • Technical to understand the Datadog product portfolio and our developer audience. 

Bonus Points:

  • MBA or an advanced CS degree
  • Prior experience in monitoring, using Datadog or a similar product
  • You’ve had professional experience in development, product management, sales engineering or another technical role

Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. $154,000$205,000 USD
