About the company
Hi, we're Ondo Finance. Our mission is to provide institutional-grade, blockchain-enabled investment products and services. We have both a technology arm that develops decentralized finance technology, and an asset management arm that creates and manages tokenized funds. We were the first company to tokenize exposure to US Treasuries, and have since expanded into several other assets. We are also focused on incubating protocols that can support both tokenized real-world assets and traditional crypto.
Founded by folks from Goldman Sachs Digital Assets Team, we’re backed by some of the best investors in the world including Founders Fund, Coinbase Ventures, Pantera Capital, Tiger Global, and more. We are currently the leaders in the space in terms of AUM and are well capitalized to continue growing the firm. We're fully remote, with team members across the U.S.
About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead initiatives across a wide surface area of Ondo products and service. This could be including but not limited to: Ondo Global Markets, USDY, OUSG, new stablecoin/yieldcoin products, 1st-party reference dApps/protocols on Ondo Chain. Ondo is undergoing a major evolution to become the defacto tokenized treasuries, stocks and ETFs in web3 - as well as supporting its new purpose-built L1 for RWAs, Ondo Chain.
This role will be mainly consumer-facing but in some cases will likely require you to think about the needs of developers, institutions, web3 business/funds and HNWIs. You will own several product lines end-to-end in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
This role requires not only a deep knowledge of modern DeFi protocols, but also strong product and UX sense for web3 as well as being in tune with current RWA/stablecoin trends. You should already be deep in web3 and have relevant work or founder experience - this role is not for those looking for a first job in web3.
This person will report to the VP of Product and should be very comfortable working with Engineering, Design, Strategy, BD, Security and Operations to define requirements and success for various initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Own, scope and execute across multiple existing and new Ondo initiatives and drive them to completion
• Be the voice of the user - show exceptional product and "human" sense operating in the complex fields of finance and technology
• Be a subject matter expert in DeFi and stay up-to-date with new developments in the space, especially as they pertain to RWAs, tokenized securities and Ondo.
• Partner closely with Engineering and Design as a part of the product development process - lead with influence, not authority
• Evangelize user research, data and competitive insights across the company
• Work with BD, Strategy & Ecosystem to vet and assess new product opportunities
• Influence and drive alignment across a diverse set of stakeholders
• Use metrics, ecosystem/industry trends, and insights from various user types to identify and execute on new opportunities for Ondo
Requirements
• 4+ years of full-time product management or founder experience
• 1+ years of full-time product management or founder experience within web3 or crypto
• People who work with you refer to you as a DeFi expert
• Based in PT, MT, CT, or ET time zones
• Significant coursework or some hands-on experience in programming or data query languages
• Familiarity with the Real-World Asset space and DeFi protocols
• Familiarity with smart contract development, blockchain protocols, and blockchain virtual machines
• Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills, verbal and written
• Strong ownership mentality and ability to execute in fast-paced, ambiguous circumstances
What we offer
• Competitive compensation including salary, future token rights, and/or equity (according to your preferences) — we're well-funded and believe that great talent deserves great compensation
• Full benefits (medical, vision, and dental) and flexible vacation policy (PTO)
• Small remote-first team across many countries — you'll be an early team member helping shape our vision, culture, and design practices
• A+ colleagues — our team includes alumni from: Goldman Sachs, Blackrock, Two Sigma, Bridgewater, SpaceX, AWS, Meta, Google, Pinterest, McKinsey, Circle, Uniswap, Phantom
• Best-in-class investors — we are proud to be backed by leading crypto experts and VCs, including Pantera Capital, Founders Fund and Coinbase Ventures
