What You’ll Do:

  • Lead, own, and enhance our Author Subscription Program by focusing on B2B relationships and developing features that drive creator growth and platform success
  • Develop strategies to expand the number of published creators on our platform while ensuring they receive effective support and engagement
  • Utilize insights into virality to enhance platform features and accelerate adoption, establishing us as the leading subscription service for authors
  • With a deep understanding of our users’ needs, wishes, and problems, you will work closely with our Director of Product to build a long term roadmap and champion our customers’ needs at all times
  • Oversee every step of the product lifecycle, including ideation, strategic planning, tactical initiatives, vision, strategy, roadmap, development, and distribution
  • Define metrics and make product and strategic decisions based on A/B testing, experimentation, and user research
  • Analyze & report product data from users, stakeholders, and other teams to shape requirements, features, and end products
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across product, engineering, design, analytics, SEO, QA, content, marketing, and more

What You'll Bring:

  • 5+ years in product management roles, with a proven track record of managing complex product lifecycles from ideation to launch, with experience in an early-stage startup environment
  • Experience in customer engagement and community building 
  • Proficiency in SQL with the ability to use it comfortably on a weekly basis
  • Experience in managing the product lifecycle for mobile and web applications within the B2C space
  • Startup Hungry: You are proactive; able to thrive in a fast-paced evolving work environment
  • Think out of the box: You have experience with identifying various business problems or product flaws by coming up with creative solutions. Passion for creating and designing useful innovative products
  • Empathy: Deeply understand our readers, writers, engineers, designers, business stakeholders
  • Location: Onsite in San Francisco, CA

The annual base salary range for this position is $70,000—$250,000 USD. Compensation will be determined by skill level, proficiencies, and experience.
