Please note that this role is in the San Francisco Bay Area. 

Our office comes alive on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays! Three times a week, our Bay Area team gathers in our office located in San Francisco's Financial District (580 California St) for All Hands meetings, collaborative sessions, innovation-driven brainstorming, and events that bring us closer together. Our space has everything we need—from cozy rooms for 1:1 mentoring and focused work to larger rooms designed for team activities.


The Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager (Sr PM) to lead our “Discovery Hub” product team. Our Discovery Hub team owns the “home experience” for both desktop and mobile. Your role will focus on determining how best to assemble and present the discovery hub experience to users to drive engagement. You’ll often leverage tools from other teams (such as our profiles, paper recommendations, and people recommendations teams), and figure out the correct arrangement of the various key actions and features that users must engage with to retain to our site

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategize, define, and prioritize the product roadmap for the Discovery Hub team
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, design, and data
  • Ideate and oversee the development, planning, and design of new features and techniques from concept to market
  • Utilize product metrics to guide decision-making and evaluate success
  • Craft product requirements for MVPs and feature enhancements
  • Contribute to the overarching product strategy
  • Drive business impact; help us attract and retain our users!

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of B2C online product management experience
  • Proven expertise in working on B2C products serving millions of users
  • Prior work in social media or other B2C engagement-growth-focused product roles
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
  • Technical understanding and ability to engage in high-level technical discussions
  • Demonstrated ability to make a significant business impact
  • Customer-centric approach with a knack for data-driven validation
  • Extensive experience with A/B testing
  • Startup experience is essential

Nice to Haves

  • Experience in Edtech or Academia
  • A stint in growth-stage tech companies during a ‘high-growth’ period
  • Previous experience working in growth (product) functions
