Your future team
We're hiring a Senior Principal Program Manager, reporting to our Head of Program Management for Growth.
As a Senior Principal Program Manager, you will help shape our Program Management organisation as a senior individual contributor. The goal is to steer a critical Growth program working closely with the teams and product, design and engineering leaders.
You will have diverse program management capabilities and will guide successful outcomes by influencing others and going deep into issues. Also, you will understand the business strategy and align the technical teams to this to accelerate the program.
What you'll do

  • Manage large technical programs that span multiple teams and product areas
  • Manage often high-volume and high complexity dependencies and risks between teams by aligning partners and escalating
  • Report on success metrics for programs including major risks
  • Be a partner on the product and delivery strategy with the leadership team
  • Guide, facilitate and close technical discussions to unblock program outcomes
  • Apply your technical understanding to support and negotiate delivery timelines
  • Advocate for change in program management and deliver best practices


Your background

  • 7+ years of program leadership experience on software teams as Program Manager
  • Experience leading projects spanning multiple teams in multiple timezones, covering all of the following
  • Create and hold accountability for the schedule
  • Make critical decisions quickly to keep project on track
  • Track and managing risks and dependencies
  • Communication to your team and partners
  • Collaborate across teams to evolve standards, engineering processes and developer productivity tools
  • Experience using metrics to improve on software development processes for cloud/SaaS teams
  • Experience working with experimentation teams and specifically A/B testing
  • Foundational technical knowledge that will allow you to work with engineering teams
  • Modern SaaS architecture, development and operational experience


Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $221,500 - $295,300
Zone B: $199,300 - $265,800
Zone C: $183,800 - $245,100
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
