The Facilities and Real Estate role will be a key member of the Workplace Services organization with management of the global Facilities team both in Oakland, CA and Charlotte, NC. This individual will focus on Strategic Initiatives across the Real Estate & facilities life cycle and work cross-functionally within the company, to drive operational excellence.
This position requires a demonstrated ability to tactically manage the Credit Karma Facilities department, including multiple work streams to drive execution across the Real Estate function. The ideal candidate has a combination of Facilities, Real Estate, & process management, and a keen understanding and passion for the business of Real Estate. As a Facilities & Real Estate Program Manager, you will play a critical role in strategic Initiatives, ensuring the successful execution of office repair and construction projects, optimizing processes, and driving critical initiatives that typically require global cross-functional resourcing and alignment. You will work closely with the broader Workplace Services team and various other functions across the company to develop and implement comprehensive solutions that support cross-functional initiatives
You Will:
- Drive projects that are ambiguous, ensuring that they ultimately achieve the stated strategic objective
- Be a trusted partner to the global WPS Senior Leadership team and cross-functional partners while obtaining approvals and influencing key decision making
- Partner with all Real Estate functions and the Sr Director of RE to drive Employee experience initiatives, with a cross functional focus on Finance, Procurement, Legal, Business Technology, and Global Safety across all levels of the organization
- Effectively manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to approved budgets and proactive budget tracking and management
- Create and maintain positive relationships across WPS and our cross-functional partner teams to ensure successful implementation of process improvements and initiatives; influencing through your deep understanding of Credit Karma's business and practices
- Support the end-to-end lifecycle of Real Estate M&A Integration activities, coordinating with service providers and working cross-functionally with internal teams
- Implement strategic scenario planning and analysis to inform and guide critical decision-making
- Develop executive level presentations, providing input and alignment from cross-functional teams
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans, ensuring that all partners are informed at the optimal times throughout the project
- Support change management strategies and plans that improve employee adoption and usage of required changes
- Address issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions throughout project life cycles
- Provide end of month reporting & billing reconciliation for accounting and accrual purposes
- Capital planning and management of the annual facilities opex / capex budget
- Create and implement policies to ensure the physical safety of all property and assets owned by Credit Karma.
- Travel domestically and internationally (up to 25% of the time)
What We Are Looking For:
- 7+ years of demonstrated ability within the end-to-end Real estate life cycle, Corporate Real Estate or Real Estate consulting experience, M&A integration experience a plus
- 10+ years of experience in Corporate Facilities and Operations
- Extensive experience in owning the facilities and operation functions in a fast-paced, thriving company
- Identify and complete the implementation of process improvements to automate and scale real estate operations
- Leverage existing data sources to develop dashboard reporting on key metrics to monitor the financial and operational performance against budget and industry benchmarks
- Experience leading internal approval process and managing approval timeline
- Experience with Smartsheets or similar project management software
- Demonstrated experience of supporting and driving major initiatives across a diverse, geographically dispersed, multicultural environment while encouraging effective relationships
- Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state and local regulations related to environmental health and safety, risk management, and global business continuity
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to operate in a high-impact, fast-paced environment with ambiguity
- Ability to think strategically and act in a detailed, hands-on manner
- Experience working in a results-driven, solutions-oriented, and fast-paced environment with competing priorities
- Understanding of legal climate that may impact site strategy, including local state and regional employment laws

Pay Transparency Notice: Credit Karma’s mission of championing financial progress for all starts from within. That’s why we implemented role-based compensation, which ensures people who are in the same role receive the same pay with variations for geographic location only. It’s all part of a more comprehensive DEI strategy that helps level the playing field. The base salary for this role is $197,272, plus equity and benefits.
